Right after work I started making my way to the basketball court at the park. Marquis told me that Skylar wanted to see how I play.
Mari and Leah was already at the park so it made things a little easier
I don't have a car so I had to catch the bus for my job. Right now I'm work as a receptionist/ assistant for a lady named Jane Price. She paying me to answer phones and book appointment for people but she always have me doing little stuff for her.
Once I got off the bus, I walked to the court and I saw Go and Huncho playing a game
"Nigga you real down bad if you think you about to win" Huncho said making me laugh because Go know damn well he can't play basketball
"Aye there go Kai" Go said and I walked through the gates and smiled and waved at them
Then I saw a girl sitting on a chair with a clipboard in her lap. "Hi I'm Skylar" she put her hand out
I shook her hand and smiled "I'm Ja'Kai but you can just call me Kai"
"Ok Kai" she stared at me "you taller then I thought."
She took her pen from her back pocket "how tall are you"
"6'7"
She wrote that down and then sat back in her chair "I just want to watch you play a little. So I know what to tell my dad"
I nodded and went inside the bathroom to change. Once I came out me and Huncho started to play each other
"First to 21 then I'll talk to y'all." She said. Go went and sat beside her
I have no idea what she was writing down but she was writing something the whole time.
The game started with me being ahead by 7
