Lessons from a dying planet

Who cares if it's a bug or a fly?
Anything I don't understand deserves to die.
Who cares if it is exotic or endangered?
Anything that screams 'money' must be mine.
Who cares about oxygen and ecosystem?
For more paper and furniture, just cut them.
Who cares about loyalty and love?
Oh, just old bookish concepts that make no money.
Who cares about the earth?
I'm the king, just enslave all else.

Now when something smaller than a fly,
Shows us just how easily we can die
We understand how it feels to be endangered,
how oxygen is mandatory,
how climate change can be so costly,
how much we need love and loyalty,
how little we care, and
how, if we don't stop,
there will be nothing left,
to love, kill and care for.
