Jean was wondering how Eren got a higher level than him. Everyone was having fun until they heard Thomas shout. Eren delivered an inspiring speech that made the others silent, he walked out of the Mess Hall and sat on the stair leading to the building. Mikasa and Armin joined in soon after
The cool breeze of the wind made Eren shiver, Mikasa just held onto the red scarf her lover gave her, and Armin clutched his jacket closer. The moon was shining, and the stars can be seen without any clouds to cover them. They discussed what regiment they were joining
Eren: Eh?!? Mikasa, you're the first in our class! You could join the Military Police and live a peaceful life!
Mikasa looked at Eren and then at her scarf
Mikasa: You and Armin are my family, wherever you go, I go. Besides, (Y/N) would be there as well
Eren didn't argue back, knowing he can't win an argument with Mikasa if (Y/N) was the topic
Armin: I'm joining the survey corps
Eren and Mikasa looked at Armin wide-eyed. Eren tried to convince the blonde boy to join the Garrison instead. But Armin was too determined to join the Scouts and prove his worth
Timeskip
The Garrison we're giving out tasks for the newly graduated cadets. The bells rang and the scouts can be seen arriving at the Trost gate for the 56th Expedition
Eren was teasing Hanna and Franz about them being a 'Married couple' but stopped to look at the scene in front of them
Eren, Armin, and Mikasa saw Erwin, Hanji, Levi, and (Y/N) near each other
Levi was mumbling something about the town folks while Hanji was unsurprisingly talking his ear out
Erwin was focused on the mission and was looking at the gate in front of him. (Y/N) wore a bored expression on his face. He was wearing an (f/c) hoodie under his scout jacket, dark brown pants, and (f/c) shoes. He spotted the trio and his demeanor changed from bored to happy. He saw Mikasa starting at him and winked, making the ravenette female blush a rose-red color
Eren was too busy idolizing Levi to notice the couple's interaction. Armin however, saw it and was proud that two of his friends are happy and together. The cute moment between (Y/N) and Mikasa was interrupted by the sounds of the bell ringing, signaling that the gate is ready to be opened
A Garrison soldier yelled at the commander Erwin, informing him that the gates are to open in a few seconds. Mikasa looked at (Y/N) worried but was reassured knowing that (Y/N) has done this before. But that didn't stop her from being concerned
The commander of the scouts yelled and they set out into the outside of Trost, into enemy territory
A little while later, the trio was met with Hannes
Time skip (On top of the Wall)
Eren and the others were stationed to clean the cannons on top of Trost's Walls. The brunette boy learned that the others were joining the Scouts because of his speech the night before. Sasha arrived with a blush on her face. Turn out, she was hiding a big piece of meat. She stole it from the soldier's pantry and the other tried to tell her to put it back but her words about what food they could cook made the others want to have a slice of meat as well
Eren turned and looked at the city below him and smiled determinedly. It was relaxed until a yellow thunder struck down just outside the Trost's wall. When the smoke cleared, the Colossal Titan can be seen
The others were glued in their position, looking at the Colossal titan's eyes. Steam came out of the Colossal Titan and blew away the cadets. Luckily, they managed to stick to the wall thanks to their ODM gear, but one person was too late to grapple onto the high wall
Sasha: Samuel!!
Sasha yelled his name and ran down the wall, grappling one hook onto the wall and one into Samuel's ankle, impaling him
Sasha: Samuel!! Don't move
The boy only groaned in response, feeling so much pain in his impaled ankle
With (Y/N)
The scouts were on an Expedition. The 56th Expedition to be exact. (Y/N) was with Erwin in the front. He was calm until he felt electrocuted
(Y/N): Ah!
He yelped and hissed in pain, he looked at his right hand and saw yellow sparks in his hand. His eyes widened at the familiar spark
Hanji noticed his pained expression and asked
Hanji: Are you okay (Y/N)?
The black-haired boy looked at Hanji and nodded
(Y/N)'s thoughts: That felt familiar. Hmm, where have I seen that before
His ocean blue eyes widened at the realization
He felt that spark the day the Ackermans were killed
(Y/N): Wh-what?
Edwin looked at the stunned scout and furrowed his eyebrows
Erwin: Are you alright (Y/N)? You appear to be shocked
(Y/N) looked at Erwin with wide eyes
(Y/N): We need to go back to Trost! Now!!
Hanji and Erwin looked at the young scout in confusion. Why was he so consistent in going back? The forest was peaceful and no Titans were near them. The bright blue sky with clouds covering them can be seen. The green grass swaying to the wind. The only sounds that can be heard are the horses running and birds chirping
(Y/N): Something is wrong Erwin. We haven't seen any titans in the past 30 minutes
Erwin's thoughts consumed him for a spare second before stopping his horse and firing a smoke signal. Notifying the scouts to stop the expedition and retreat
Hanji: Eh?!? Why did you signal a retreat, Erwin?
Erwin: (L/N) is right. Something is wrong. Earlier, we saw titans going in the direction of Trost. The Colossal Titan might have appeared once more. This time, in Trost
(Y/N)'s eyes widened once more. Worried for the safety of his friend, his brother, and his lover. Levi and his squad approached them and Levi asked Ewin why he was stopping the expedition
Erwin: There was no titan insight for the last 30 minutes. The Colossal Titan might have appeared near Trost district
Levi and the other's eyes widened in horror. They all quickly rode back to Trost, hoping they were not too late
