The next day
[After eating breakfast and after finishing getting ready, Lord Chin gives Mulang a rolled-up scroll with his writing, signature, and seal that he would forge a permanent, true, loyal, and amicable alliance with The Middle Kingdom and that no arranged marriages were necessary. Mulan puts her engagement ring back onto her left ring finger and smiles as Shang kisses her cheek. Afterward, they left on a carriage gifted with enough food and beverages for the group for their travels. They travel for hours and stop around midday to eat lunch and water the horses]
{With Mulan}
Mushu: Mulan, can you ever forgive me?
Mulan: Mushu, it was a miracle that Shang survived, in the end, you did the right thing, and that makes me proud of you, but you really hurt me with everything you did to separate Shang and me
Mushu: I know, and I am truly, really, sorry, I swear, if I could take things back, I would. I would never want to cause you any pain or harm
Mulan: I know, Mushu, I accept your apology, and maybe someday I'll be able to forgive you, but I'm just not ready right now, you gotta give me time
Mushu: I understand
(Mulan goes to Shang and the others. Mushu sighs sadly, cleans his eyes, and sniffles)
Mushu: I pray to the ancestors that she forgives me out of the bottom of her heart
(Cri-Kee chirps at him)
Mushu: I hope so, Cri-Kee
(They go to where the horses were)

[For two days, everyone travels back to the Emperor's palace harmoniously. All the couples were either cuddling, snuggling, kissing, etc. That morning, everyone returned to the palace]
{In the Emperor's Palace}
Ting-Ting: Hello father
Mei: Hi Baba
Su: Good day, daddy
(The girls run up the stairs and hug their father and he returned their hug but was confused)
The Emperor: Wha-huh? What are you girls doing here? You're supposed to be already married
(They pull away)
Shang: It's kind of a long story
Mulan: Let us explain your highness
<after a long story>
The Emperor: Hmm, you have defied my orders again, Fa Mulan
Shang: With all due respect, your highness, Mulan did nothing wrong. Sure she did tell your daughter, Princess Mei, that her personal duty was to her heart, but she never told her to break her vow
Mei: It's true, father
Ting-Ting: She even tried to take our place so we wouldn't have to leave our lives without true love. She also took our place because, at the moment, we thought Shang had died and she didn't want his loss to not mean anything
Su: She not only saved us from loveless marriages but also saved China, once again
Mulan: Great Emperor, I bring you a note from Lord Chin himself
(She went up and gave him the scroll then went back down. The Emperor opened it and read it carefully)
<after reading it>
(He closed it)
The Emperor: Well then
Shang: Sir, please, look at what we've accomplished. By securing the support of Qui Gong, We've gained a powerful ally for our country against this latest threat, and not just that, but your daughters found love and happiness
The Emperor: Fa Mulan has changed you hasn't she, General Li Shang?
Shang: Yes, for the better
(He takes Mulan's hands and kisses them making her blush)
The Emperor: Do you love these men, Ting-Ting, Mei, and Su?
Ting-Ting: Very much, father
Mei: Oh yes, Baba
Su: Absolutely, daddy
The Emperor: And do you all truly love my daughters?
Ling: Yes, sir, I love Ting-Ting with all of my heart
Yao: I love Mei, very much, your highness
Chien-Po: And I really love Su, your majesty
The Emperor: Well then, I don't think there's more to say, is there? I accept your love and your choice to be together and thank you too, Fa Mulan and General Li Shang. You always manage to teach me new lessons, Fa Mulan
Shang: Not just you, your highness
(He kissed Mulan's cheek making her blush once again)
[The three princesses hugged their father and ran to the guys who enveloped them in their arms]
Mulan: Your majesty, is there anything else that we may serve you in?
The Emperor: Not at the moment, but I thank you, you're free to go
Shang: Thank you, sir
(They bow their heads and the Emperor bows it back. Mulang hold hands intertwining their fingers and they leave)
{With Mulang}
(They get on their horses and ride toward Mulan's home)
Mulan: You scared me to death, Shang, I thought I lost you, you're the love of my life, and I can't image my life without you in it
Shang: I'm sorry, I never meant to cause you pain, but I promise you, I swear to you that it will never happen again
[They stop their horses, lean in, and share a soft and meaningful kiss. Eventually, they make it back to Mulan's home, and they get off, but before going in, Shang pulls up Mulan into his arms wrapping them around her waist and making her squeal and giggle]
Mulan: Shang
Shang: Now I can do this
(He joined their lips in a passionate kiss making Mulan wrap her arms around his neck)
Mulan: Mmm
[They pull away and Mulan kisses his cheek then they bring in their horses. They put them in their stables and just then Mulan's family comes out]
Grandmother Fa: They're back
Li: Oh thank the ancestors
[Everyone came out to greet them. The women hugged both Mulan and Shang while Mulan's father shook Shang's hand and hugged Mulan. Everyone then went inside the house]
{Inside}
Zhou: So, how was the mission?
(Mulan and Shang told them the entire story)
<after a long story>
Grandmother Fa: Thank the ancestors that you're safe, Shang
Li: And thank Shang that came just in time to stop that wedding from happening
(Shang wrapped his arm around Mulan's shoulders and she kissed his cheek)
Zhou: We're just glad everything turned out ok and that you're all safe
Grandmother Fa: Go wash your hands, dinner's ready
[Shang and Mulan go wash their hands and then come back to join the family for dinner. After eating supper, Shang is invited to stay for the night and he gladly ends up staying, one more time]
