A Mulang Love Story

Chapter 8

[The rapid train ride was six hours and Shang and Mulan got to the new world at around midnight on a ship. They took another train heading for Lousiana and got to Lottie's home at around eleven am]
{In Lottie's home}
Charlotte: Cheese and crackers, I thought you wouldn't make it
Mulan: Yeah neither did we, Lottie, Big Daddy, I'd like you to meet my boyfriend, Captain Li Shang
Big Daddy: Nice to meet you, young man
Charlotte: Nice to meet ya
Shang: It's nice to meet you both as well
Charlotte: Ok, introductions out of the way, get in the shower, hurry up, you've got half an hour to get ready
[They each go to one of the guest rooms and take a quick shower. They both get dressed and Charlotte helps Mulan do her hair and adds a little bit of mascara and lipgloss. Afterward, they get into Big Daddy's car and the driver races them to the church]
{At the church}
<one minute before noon>
Tiana: Oh thank God, I didn't know if you were going to make it
Mulan: I know neither did we, you look beautiful, Tia
Tiana: Thank you, Lani
(They hug)
Charlotte: Alright, hugs and introductions later, let's go
[They pull away, Shang, Mulan, and Charlotte go inside and take their seats while Big Daddy stays behind with Tiana. She takes his arm and then the music begins. Big Daddy and Tiana walk in, he hands her over to Naveen, he then takes his seat, and the ceremony begins]
<after the ceremony>
*At 27 sec. Tiana and Naveen have returned from their week-long honeymoon in Maldonia. At 34 sec. another week had passed, pretend that Mulan and Shang were there with Charlotte and the others and pretend that Tiana hugged her as well*

(After that, Shang and Mulan go home)

{Back in China}
[Some time had passed, more specifically, a month had passed since Mulan had saved China. Shang was called to the palace by a guard because the Emperor wished to speak to him. As always, Shang followed the command and went to see him]
{In the palace}
[As always, Chi-Fu was beside the Emperor, Shang had been promoted to General, Chi-Fu rolled his eyes as Shang was promoted, and Shang had gotten a new uniform. It was May 20th]
Shang: Sir, um, now that I'm here, I want to ask you something
The Emperor: And what is that, general?
Shang: Well, uh, I love Mulan, she's the love of my life, I can't imagine my life without her, but I've never really been good with the topic of girls and love. I want to propose to her, I want to marry her, but I, uh, well-
The Emperor: You're nervous about asking her
Shang: Yeah, I am, do you have any advice that you can give me?
(The Emperor chuckles)
The Emperor: The only thing I can tell you is to speak from your heart and be yourself. Do you have a ring?
Shang: Yes sir, I had it made with the royal jeweler
(He took out the box, opened it, and showed him the ring)
The Emperor: Very beautiful
Shang: I hope she likes it
The Emperor: I'm sure she will
Shang: I hope she says yes
(He closed it and put it back in his pocket)
The Emperor: She most definitely will, you'll see, now go or you'll be late
Shang: Yes sir, thank you
The Emperor: Of course
(Shang descends the stairs and goes out the door)
