Why? (Jack Sparrow x F!Reader)

Chapter 2

(Y/N) POV

Arriving to the fort near the docks you look out of the window to see many civilians lined up on the stairs, you turning to Elizabeth and notice her breathing labored "Lady Elizabeth are you all right." she gasped softly "Yes I'm fine, (Y/N). It's just a little warm out." she said. "Here" you say handing her a fan which she gladly accepts.

After the ceremony Commodore Norrington took Elizabeth to the back of the fort while you stayed close by talking to Gillette, a soldier and a dear friend who you've known since childhood.

Everything was fine until you heard Norrington yell, quickly you ran to where Norrington was standing looking over the ledge to see a splash. Without saying a word you turning and ran to the docks with the soldiers on your tail. When you reach the docks you see Elizabeth laying unconscious with two soldiers and the pirate from earlier today, standing around her. "Lady Elizabeth" you breathed out, quickly going to her side pushing away the panicking soldiers. The pirate took out a knife and cut her corset causing Elizabeth to coughed up salt water.

You helped her up and rubbed her back trying to help calm down the harsh coughing while doing so you notice a familiar medallion hanging around her neck. "Where did you get that" the man said looking at the coin in disbelief as well. Before Elizabeth could answer the Commodore points a sword at the stranger demanding him to get to his feet. Elizabeth rush to her father who put a jacket around her, once covered she turned to the armed man "Commodore are you really going to kill my rescuer"

Norrington hesitantly put his sword away and out stretched his hand "I thinks thanks are in order." the man seem hesitant as well but extended his hand anyway, just to have the Commodore pull up his sleeve showing a branded 'P' on the back of his wrist "Had a brush with the eastern trading company have we, Pirate." the pirate winced and the Commodore pulled the sleeve higher up to show a tattoo "My, my, Jack Sparrow" "Captain" Jack Sparrow corrected making Norrington looked up at him then to the soldier next to him "Gillette fetch some irons."

"What business do you have here Captain Jack Sparrow and where's your ship." the pirate smiled making your heart flutter slightly, "I'm in the market" a soldier spoke up "He said he's here to commander one" the soldier next to him mumbled out loud "I told you he was telling the truth" the other soldier said handing the Commodore random items "These are his, sir." he held up a pistol "No additional shots or powder," he put it down and picked up a compose "A compass that doesn't point North," then he slightly pulled out the steel sword from its case "And I half expected to be made of wood" he smiled at the man and the man playfully returned it

"Shot him" Governor Swann said snapping your head to him in disbelief "Governor Swann-" you started but was cut off when Elizabeth threw her coat down and pushes pass you to stand between Jack and the guns "He saved my life". "One good deed isn't enough to pay for a life time of mischief" Norrington states firmly while they tighten the irons around the pirates wrists

"Finally." Jack mumbles and puts the chain from the irons around Elizabeth's neck causing you to pull out your own sword "I knew you'll warm up to me" he whispered in her ear "Commodore my things. Oh and my hat" begrudgingly he held out his things to him "Elizabeth-" she cuts him off "Miss Swann" he rolls his eyes "Miss Swann if you please." she grab his things and turned around in his hold

"If you can be so kind." disgusted she started buckling his stuff on, looking over her shoulder Jack gave Norrington a mocking smiling. He looked away jealousy written all over his face "Easy on the goods, love" Elizabeth huffed and finally putting his hat on his head "Despicable" she hissed out making him pout "Sticks and stones, love. I saved your life, you saved mine we're squared" he turned her around

"Today is the day that you almost caught Captain Jack Sparrow" he said throwing Elizabeth at her father. He grabbed onto a rope, kicking a turner allowing him to be pulled up to a plank above. "OPEN FIRE" the soldiers started shooting but Jack used his cuffs as a line and swung all the way to the edge of the docks and took off running. "(Y/N) take Elizabeth home" "Yes, Governor" you bowed at pulled Elizabeth toward the carriages.
