Chapter 9 (End)

While they were still pondering over Matsukawa's words Maki had climbed to the bottom row of the stands and cleared his throat loudly so that the other three would turn to him. "I have something to announce!" He informed them and put his hands on his hips. "Its horrible to watch the two of you! So I want to tell you: He actually loves you and thinks he never really has a chance with you!!" While Oikawa was taken aback Iwaizumi panicked and was furious at the same time. He walked up to the stands with clenched fists and shouted: "HANAMAKI YOU FUCKING IDIO-" "Stop no!!! Don't believe a word, he's lying!!!!", Oikawa interrupted his friend ignoring what the dark-haired actually wanted to say and gesticulated panicked and defensively with his arms.

Immediately Iwaizumi stopped and turned to Oikawa perplexed. Why the hell did he feel addressed?

There the two stood, staring into each other's eyes and neither daring to say anything. Maki and Matsu thought that this was the opportunity to flee and wanted to sneak away but Oikawa held Matsukawa at the arm because he was still nearby. Maki then stopped in solidarity. He just couldn't leave his friend behind it would have been unfair because they were both equally in this mess. Although you could argue that Maki was more to blame for pouring his water over Iwaizumi yesterday.

"You two... explain now how you meant that!!! Immediately!!!! Either that, or I'll you kick out of the team!!!", Oikawa threatened them because that shit was really too stupid by now. "Just think for yourself! Hanamaki didn't mention a name and still you both feel addressed!", Mattsun noted releasing himself from Oikawa's grip which was slowly starting to hurt.

"... Oikawa please tell me why you thought he was talking about you", Iwaizumi almost pleaded. "That's not possible, I just can't tell you!", the setter Protested and ran stressedly through his Hair.

After what Matsukawa had said Iwaizumi already had a certain idea what was meant and yet he couldn't believe it before he heard it from Oikawa himself. But he also saw how much the captain was struggling with himself and he had to take the initiative. He pondered how to start best as he kept walking towards Oikawa until they finally came face to face.

"Oikawa I..." "yes?" "Oh damn, I love you! So now tea is spilled, happy Hanamaki?!", he asked and turned around to see how the wing-spiker would react but there was no trace of him or Matsukawa... (Since they are hiding behind a door held xD)

Iwa almost forgot that the only important reaction was Oikawa's! After the dark-haired turned back to his friend Iwa was shocked to find that Oikawa had tears in his eyes which slowly ran down his cheek one after the other. Damn it... Did he said the wrong thing? Had he interpreted something wrong in Matsukawa's words and was their friendship over now? What did he done?! "Shit!", he cursed softly and was about to leave when Oikawa grabbed his wrist. "W-wait Iwa-chan... I love you too!" "But... why are you crying then...?", Iwaizumi wanted to know and didn't dare to look the other person in the eye. "Well, because I'm so happy!", the setter explained lifting Iwaizumi's chin with two fingers of his other hand up so that Iwa could see that Oikawa was not only crying but also smiling up to his ears. He hadn't been so happy in a long time. He wanted to seize the moment and got closer and closer to his friend, they could already feel each other's breath. But the ace bridged the last millimeters again and joined their lips for the second time. But unlike the first time this kiss was less wild and more gentle and calm. This moment was over after a few moments but both felt it like an eternity. They had waited so long for this.

"Iwa-chan ~ maybe you want to be with me? And this time right? "" Of course! What do you think ?! "asked the ace as a counter-question and gave Oikawa one last quick kiss before they set off to go home.

"Iwa-chan~ Do you want to be my boyfriend? And this time for real?" "Of course! What do you think?!" Iwa asked as a counter-question and gave the brown-haired one last quick kiss before they set off to go home.Just as Oikawa was finished with closing the door there was a knock from the inside. "Hey! You locked us in!", Came a muffled voice from the other side of the door whereupon the setter unlocked again. "Maki ?? Mattsun?? Are you crazy!? You can't stay until I lock you in!", Oikawa complained. "But you will certainly forgive us because you came together because of us, right?", Mattsun demanded whereupon the faces of the fresh couple darkened. "I remember something... revenge is known to be sweet!", Iwaizumi threatened and had already raised his clenched fist. "May I do that?" Oikawa asked his boyfriend with a malicious grin on his face whereupon Iwa nodded. "Did you two noticed that you are also in love with each other? No? Your welkomme then", he said, closed the door again and head home with his boyfriend. They didn't look back to see how the other two boys reacted. They did not find out what was happening back there until the next day when Mattsun and Maki also revealed themselves to the team as a couple. Fortunately Iwaizumi and Oikawa didn't have to do that anymore as they had supposedly been a couple for almost two weeks and had the annoying initial phase with all the questions behind them. They still looked at yesterday as their official date.

Everyone now lived a happily ever after. At some point they actually went on a double date with Kuroo and Kenma when Nekoma was in the same place again.
