Vivo and Gabi had just finished another show in the Plaza.
This time, four familiar faces came forward as they started packing.
Charlotte Russe, Tiago, Roxie, and Novella.
Roxie was the first to say, "That...was...awesome!!!"
Charlotte said, "That was so amazing!"
Tiago said, "I knew you and your girl got skills!"
And Novella said, "Indeed! It was truly magnificent!"
Vivo said, "Oh, thanks. It's just something we do for fun."
Tiago remembered, "Bro, you also told me that you did it for coin when you lived in Cuba."
Vivo stopped.
He did it 'for coin' to put bread on the table for Andrés and he.
Vivo said, "Well, uh, you see-"
Just then, Gabi said, "Oh, Vivo! Your new friends came to see us!"
Vivo still felt it was a little too soon to call them his friends.
Just then, Charlotte said, "Hey, Vivo, do you wanna hang out with us for a while? Our owners are too busy at the moment. We always like hanging out at the Plaza."
Novella said, "Oh, indeed. There are plenty of things to do here at the Plaza."
Roxie said, "It'll be so cool!"
However, Vivo wasn't sure.
He was mostly unsure about leaving Gabi alone.
Her mom was working overnight and wasn't going to be home until really late.
"Well, you see, the thing is..."
Just then, someone shouted from afar, "Hey, Gabi!"
It was the Sand Dollars, Becky, Sarah, and Eva.
Gabi responded, "Oh, hey, girls! How's it going?"
Becky said, "Gabi, there's a new show with the dolphins at the aquarium!"
Sarah said, "Yeah, they trained the dolphins to do cute flips and stuff!"
Eva said, "They even do this thing where they splash the audience with water!"
Becky asked, "You wanna come? We have an extra ticket."
Gabi said, "That sounds cool. Except the aquarium doesn't allow pets and Vivo doesn't even like getting soaked unless it was bathtime."
Sarah then looked over and said, "Maybe Vivo could hang out with his new friends in the meantime."
The other pets chittered with excitement.
Vivo still wasn't sure about hanging out with pets he still barely knew.
But...he didn't want Gabi to miss out on some fun...while also bonding with girls her age.
So, he said, "Yeah, it's cool, Gabi. You go have fun. I'll be fine."
Gabi understood and said, "Ok, Vivo, you have fun. I'll be back before sunset."
She then joined the other girls to the aquarium.
Once they left, Charlotte squealed with excitement.
"Oh, Vivo, we're gonna have so much fun! Just like best friends are supposed to!"
Vivo slightly cringed.
When did they move from 'friends' to 'best friends'?
Just then, Charlotte then shouted, "Maestro!"
Tiago started plucking at the strings of a nearby base of a musician on a coffee break.
Roxie then started a beat with two sticks and a metal trash can.
Vivo was a little confused.
Charlotte then started a song as they started the hangout.
