You tried to make him talk about what was bugging him but he would shrug you off, telling you it was nothing. However that untruthful answer made you all the more curious and somewhat worried. Because normally you guys would tell each other everything. Even when it was something embarrassing

Focussing your attention back on finding some food you glanced around the street and your eyes immediately caught sight of an interesting booth
Nudging your friend out of his thoughts, Chifuyu followed your gaze to a crêpe stall " How about we get some?" you asked with evident glimmer in your eyes
" You can, I'll rather have something else "
It's not that he necessarily disliked crêpes, but if he could choose between something sweet and salty, Chifuyu would rather go for the salty one. Like, peyan yakisoba that he would often share with Baji
" Suit yourself "
As you skipped to the booth and placed your order, the boy couldn't help but frown. Just seeing you being all happy, he couldn't believe that in the future, you wouldn't be there anymore
It was unimaginable
A world where you two would no longer be able to hang out, laugh, talk or fight together
Chifuyu always knew that you were important to him. He didn't simply like you, no, he truly loved and cherished you as his best friend
However based off what Takemichi told him, about how he handled your death, Chifuyu started second guessing his feelings
Rather than loving you as his best friend, it sounded more like he liked you in another way
Letting this idea sink in, the boy surprisingly didn't feel weirded out by it. On the contrary, as he recalled every memory he had with you, both good and bad ones, Chifuyu found this discovery quite natural. As if it was just a matter of time before these kind of feelings would emerge
" You have to taste it!"
Snapping out of his thoughts, the teal eyed blinked as you held your crêpe right in front of his face. Smelling the overwhelming scent of sugar, the boy's face scrunched up in disgust " No thank-"
" One bite isn't gonna kill you" you said and pressed the food on his lips
Furrowing his brows, Chifuyu eventually gave in to your pressure and took a bite
Curious of the outcome on whether or not he liked it, you attentively watched the boy make all kinds of faces while shewing
Yet after swallowing the food it was no surprise that he vigorously shook his head with a sickening expression " How can you eat something like that?" he said while trying to ignore the unpleasant sugary after taste
" Don't know" You shrugged and took a bite yourself immediately humming in delight as the whipped cream along with the chocolate syrup melted inside your mouth " Maybe I'm more of a sweet tooth then you"
" That I'm positive... " he agreed with a straight face " But anyway let's get going. I wanna eat something as well"
Setting a foot forward, Chifuyu was about to resume walking when he suddenly stumbled backwards as you pulled him by the collar
Turning him around so he was facing you, the boy's breath hitched when he felt your thumb swipe across the left corner of his mouth
" You still had some whipped cream there" you said while liking your thumb clean " Now we can go"
Still startled by your action, it took Chifuyu a few seconds before he got out his daze and you followed you
Touching the side of his lips, a small but determined smile appeared on his face " Y/n..." He whispered and looked at you " No matter what, I'll make sure that this time..."
" Nothing will happen to you"

Meanwhile on the rooftop of a building in Yokohama, Kakucho stared dumbfounded at his leader " Izana, are you serious?"
Looking down at the city, all the white haired did was nod in response " We don't have to take such drastic measures in order to beat Toman! Please reconsider this!"
" Izana" Kisaki pushed past the second in command and joined the head of Tenjiku on the edge of the roof " I leave Mikey in your hands while I take care of his sister "
Turning around, the tanned man was about to take his leave when the white haired male said or rather gave him one last instruction " Make sure you get Y/n " he said sternly
Grinning at his command, Kisaki let out a small chuckle " I'll do my best"
Gritting his teeth Kakucho shook his head in disappointment. No matter what he said, he knew that Izana wouldn't change his mind. And although he had the option to try and stop this event from happening, the bald guy knew that if he did that, he would be seen as a traitor by his king
And getting on his bad side was the last thing he desired...
Kakucho admired, respected but mostly cared too much about Izana to let that happen
So with a defeated sigh, the boy was left with no other choice but to keep his mouth shut and let the despicable human called Tetta Kisaki,
