Kieran was among those who were injured, and as I return to The Overhang, I notice Una calling for a sorcerer or sorceress to help him. I rush over, noticing the infection seeping puss from a cut along his forearm. Una looks up at me, and says,

"Please, can you help my brother?" Hesitantly, I place my hands on Kieran's arm.

"What caused the wound?" I ask, his wound immediately starts weeping as I place pressure on it.

"An arrow caught him in the arm, I attempted to pull it out, but the shaft snapped of the arrowhead." Grabbing a wet rag, I tell Kieran to bit down on it, and then I pick up a knife, thrust it in the fire, and plunge it into his wound. As quickly as I can, I fish out the arrow bolt left lodged in his arm. Kieran starts shuddering, and as Una attempts to hold him down, I stuff moss over his wound, and mutter underneath my breath. The moss suddenly expands, and drips a sort of elixir into his wound.

"That should stop the infection, and then Kieran has to keep the wound clean afterwards." Stepping backwards, I admire my work, and then make to leave when Una grabs my hand,

"Aine..." I turn slowly around to face her, "I just wanted to say... You saved my life and my brothers, and I apologise for our behaviour yesterday..." Smiling, I accept the apology, and head off to a bowl of water, where I clean my knife, and sterilise it in the fire. Allil stands on a boulder to address the gathering of people, Oisin flies down and lands on her shoulder,

"We have won! WE HAVE WON!" She is met with a roar of approval, I join in, raising my knife above my head, "we have revenge, now we do not have to keep retreating!" Again, she is met with a cheer, "we do not hide in the shadows anymore! We will not be enslaved in our own land!"
