Ah yes the one thing we all struggle with.
Trust me, for the most part I usually have no motivation for writing. My mood differs for not wanting to write at all for a month to continuous writing for a week or two non stop which would result in a complete book.
Number one rule to follow:
Do NOT force yourself to write!
You don't owe anyone your work. You are not a machine who can spew out writing non-stop. You need a break every so often. (The irony of me not even taking my own advice 😩)
However motivation is usually thinking about how happy people will be once this is published.
Another for writers just starting out: imagine how many people will be happy now that your work is out there! Everyone starts somewhere!
If this doesn't work you can try the following things that help me get motivated:
• Listening to edit audios or just watching edits of the characters
• Watching the movie/show they're in again
• Acting out conversations with the characters out
• Go for a walk and start rambling out loud as if you're on a call with someone and discussing plot ideas (trust me I do this all the time and it helps soooo much)If all else fails then move on until you get more ideas for that book! There's nothing wrong with that, I used to think there was but now it allows me to get more books out!
