We were all together in Sadie's car. We looked like we were quintuplet's. All jammin' out to the same song, like it used to be. I smiled and looked at all of them, so happy, so confortable with each other.

And then there is me. I don't belong in this group.

Sadie, the twenty six year old and most elegant one out of all of us. She also the most successful. She's a federal prosicutor. The most top paid but hardest positions. She's more quiet and observant.

Eléna, the twenty three year old is a stay at home mom with three kids and wanting another. Shes not pregnant and i want it to stay that way. She married at seventeen when her husband was stationed in a different republic. And started with children at eighteen.

And then there is Annabelle. Seventeen and at the top her class in Territory Twenty. She's the one I'm more like. Honest till it hurts and a loud mouth. But the thing that I admire from her is that her heart remains pure and innocent. And I hope it stays like that. I'm so overprotective of her because of it.

And then there's my mother. Unfortunately, one of the Leader's of the Republic of 36. She's annoying. And annoying.

"Darling?" My attention snapped back into reality.

"Yes mom?"

"Who were those boys outside your door yesterday?"

"Her future lover and some random blond guy." I pushed Annabelle's face away from my view.

"The taller one was one of my students and. . .," I didnt know what to say about Jake. "A coworker."

"Future lover? Honey, that boy looks a little too young for my tastes."

"Trust me mom. He's Annabelle's."

"You're letting me date him?"

"No!"

"Why?"

"Because he knows more than he looks." They all laughed. But I wasn't joking.

"Where do I turn in?"

"On the next exit." They began to all have conversation between themselves. I realized they all have gotten so close to each other, but they all acted like I was the elephant to the room.

"It's the house up the hill." They all looked at me like I was crazy. "What?"

"You live in the middle if nowhere." Annabelle blurted out. "In a warehouse."

"It looks better inside, trust me." She shook her head in dissapointment. "Annabelle?"

"Giullianna?" I rolled my eyes.

"Hey, no fighting." Mom said. "I don't need to go to the hospital anymore this week." She parked on the side of the curb.

"Okay before anyone thinks about stepping into my house, I have a few rules." They all groaned. My mother just turned around to listen to me. " No opening doors that are closed. Don't touch anything that looks interesting. No drinking after 10. Nothing over thirty dollars Annabelle." She rolled her eyes. "No running. Shoes off. Clean all dishes that are used. And please, there are blinds in the bathroom that shut. I don't want any surprises." My mother rose her hand.

"Did they give you your OCD medicine?"

"Yes mom."

"What about bi-polar?"

"Mom I don't take bipolar medicine. I only have a very mild case."

"And anxiety?"

"Mom!" She rolled her eyes and unlocked the doors.
