"Why are you always asking me to go out with you?" I asked Jan while we're eating.
"Hmmm, palagi ba kitang inaaya?" Nag-isip pa s'ya kunwari. As if it's not obvious.
"Uh? Yes?" I shrugged and drink my orange juice.
"Sige bukas ulit ah." I gave Jan a looked but he just chuckled, i was frozen a bit dahil sa ginawa n'ya. It's always him smiling, i don't really know but i find comfort and peace with that.
"Yeah-ah." I panicked at medyo tumagilid sakanya at lumingon na lang sa glass wall.
"Yuna."
"Hmm?"
"Cute mo." Lalo akong napaiwas nang tingin, ramdam ko din yung pamumula nang pisngi ko, why the hell he's so confident about teasing me huh!?
"Stop." Tinawanan n'ya lang ako ulit, tapos na ako sa kinakain ko pero s'ya hindi pa dahil ang dami nyang inorder, paunti unti ko lang iniinom yung orange juice ko while waiting for him to finish.
When we finished our meal bumalik na kami sa university. I thanked him before going back to my friends.
"Hoy gago ano yan Ryleigh? Bakit palagi mo siyang kasama!?" Salubong ni Shai saakin, well yeah as usual she really can't shut her mouth.
"Hey! Your so maissue." I pouted and put my books at the table.
"What!? I'm just asking." She complained and chuckled.
"Whatever." I playfully rolled my eyes, kaming dalawa ni Shai ang magkasama dahil ibang class ang dalawa.
"Sus, pero type mo nga?" Daldal pa nito, our class hasn't started yet ang ingay na ng kasama ko.
"What the hell!?" Reklamo ko, why is she asking that question, unless I really like him!but no! Yeah i know to myself that i didn't even know him that much so i don't really like or sort of having a crush on him.
"Hoy kalma!" I didn't have a time to answer her dahil dumating na yung prof namin, we just listened until the class ended.
As usual umuwi lang ako sa bahay.
Habang nanonood ako ng tv sa salas biglang bumukas yung main door namin kaya napatingin ako doon, i was surprised that it was kuya madalang kaming magkita.
"Kuya!" Agad kong sigaw at tumakbo sakanya i hugged him. Damn i missed him i don't know what's his and dads problem simula kase nung araw na yon he moved to a condo, kaya ayaw nila mommy na iwan ko sila. "What brings you here!?" Excited na tanong ko.
"Nothing, akyat lang ako." I nodded at him he's so cold!he used to be sweet and caring to me dati, did he really changed?
After i watched a movie bumalik ako sa kwarto ko of course to do some plates.
Sa sobrang pag ooverthink ko nagkamali pa ako sa ginagawa ko so i have to repeat it! This time hindi ko na inalala pa yung mga tumatakbo sa isip ko.
When i finished my work biglang nag ring ang cellphone ko, mom is calling so i answered it.
"Hello mom?" Sagot ko sa telepono.
"Hi sweetheart may business trip kami ng daddy mo sa America for a month, biglaan dahil may problema i want you too take after the house, i love you."
"I love you too..." She ended up the call.
I guessed it's all by myself now, damn silly you Yuna of course it's always yourself. No one will take care of you.
The next morning not so usual but i was hanging out with Jan, just the two of us. Hindi ko alam kung anong nangyari kay Shai hindi sya pumasok. Kanina ko pa din sya kinocontact pero ayaw nyang sumagot.
"Kanina ka pa tingin ng tingin sa cellphone mo, it's there any problem?" The man beside me asked. I shook my head, "sure ka? Okay ka lang?" Pangungulit nito.
"Uh i can't tell but i am just worry about Shai, hindi pa kase s'ya pumapasok i know she doesn't have any problems and i'm also not sure of that." I worriedly said, Jan raised his brows at me.
"Gusto mo puntahan natin?" He asked me at tumingin din siya sa wrist watch nya. "We still have our time, you know her condo?" I nodded.
We're about to go pero biglang may tumawag sakanya, it's Kiel.
"Jan! San punta?" Tumatakbo ito at huminto nung nasa harap na namin.
"Uh, we're going to Shai..." I paused, "you want to come?" It's a bit awkward cause i thought he's going to refuse pero pumayag ito! Hmmm sus.
Nang maka rating kami sa condo nito ay naka lock iyon, i wasn't sure kung nandoon s'ya but good thing ay sinabi nito saakin yung passcode para maka pasok sa loob, she said that i looked so harmless kaya binigay niya na.
"Alam mo password?" Tanong ni Jan na nasa gilid ko, sandali akong tumingin kay Kiel na naka sandal sa pader left hand on pocket habang naka tingin sa kawalan, nagiwas na lang ako ng tingin.
"Uh yes she told me." Dali dali kong binuksan yung pinto and when we entered the room it's so dark pero may tatlong kandila on the coffee table, hindi ko na pinansin ang dalawa at dali dali akong pumunta sa kwarto ni Shai, i hear her sobs so i opened the light and i saw her crying on the corner.
Tumakbo ako doon at inakap sya.
"Hush, i'm here tell me everything i will listen." I whispered, napatingin din ako sa dalawa nang pumasok sila lalapit din sana si Kiel but i stopped him. I also mouted him 'Give her some space'.
"Yuna i c-can't pagod na ako, t-taon taon na lang. T-taon taon ko lang iniiyak i'm so careless." She said habang umiiyak. I don't know her problem but i wanted her to make sure that i will always be by her side.
"T-taon taon na lang..." She whispered, nung sinulyapan ko yung dalawa they was just looking at us, Kiel was something he seemed so affected...is there something i missed?
"Shhh babe." I whispered.
"I lost the most precious thing that happened to me on this day..." Bulong pa nito saakin.
"A-Angelica, i'm so sorry." I heard Kiel on my back.
