"Wala kayo perfect ako sa exam."
Shai proudly put her paper on the table so i look at it, she was probably proud about herself well me too.
"Yabang chamba!" Reklamo ni Jirah.
"Ulol inggit ka lang!" Shai stick out her tongue on Jirah, i just shook my head at them and continue eating.
It's been 2 weeks after my so called dinner date with Jan and after that we became closer he usually hang outs with us and my friends didn't complain that.
"They're so loud." Reklamo ni Prince sa tabi ko habang tumatawa.
"Yeah, but i'm pretty sure you're used to it." I said.
"Obvious naman." He chuckled.
"Bobo mas magaling parin ako mag drawing sayo." Asar ni Shai kay Jirah.
"Ew mas maganda naman ako sayo." Jirah proudly flipped her hair at Shai, i couldn't help but to watch them argue, ganon din si Haze at Prince.
"Ulol ako maganda na may talent pa." Banat ni Shai dahilan para sapukin sya ni Jirah my eyes widened i wasn't expecting that.
But it seems like everything was joke about them huh? "Aray ko gago ka!" Shai hissed at Jirah while laughing naka hawak pa sya sa likod ng ulo n'ya kung saan sya sinapok ni Jirah.
"Stopped guys, eat your food." Prince shook his head. "Mas grabe pa kayo sa bata." Dagdag pa nito.
It was actually a fun time with them until my dad called me.
"I need to answer this." I said referring to the call, they just nodded at me.
"Dad?" I answered the call.
"Where are you? Go back to the house now." I sighed and bit my lower lip, not now please.
"But-" he cut me.
"No buts go back here." He exclaimed, i couldn't do anything noong babaan nya ako ng tawag kundi bumalik sa mga kaibigan ko.
"I have to go guys, may emergency sa bahay." I lied to them.
"Now na? Aalis ka na?" Tanong ni Haze saakin so i nodded.
"May sasakyan ka? Pwede kita ihatid." Prince volunteer but i just shook.
"Nagmamadali kase ako mag tataxi na lang, bye thanks for today." Hindi ko na hinintay yung reaksyon nila dahil lumabas na ako, mabilis lang ako nakahanap nang taxi, mabilis lang din kami naka rating sa village namin.
"Where's dad po?" I asked our maid.
"Nandoon po sa kwarto nila ma'am kanina pa po kayo hinihintay." I thanked them bago naglakad papunta sa bedroom nila dad.
As i opened the door isang sampal agad yung natanggap ko kay dad, it was painful agad akong napahawak sa pisngi ko, shit what did i do.
"I fucking let you take architecture when you say you won't fail us, anong nangyari sa grades mo? Bat ang bababa!?" Hindi ako maka react.
First yung pagsampal n'ya saakin, it was to painful second his words.
I badly wanted to become an architect kaya pinilit ko sila knowing that business ang pinapatakbo nang pamilya namin.
This is just the one time that i failed! Hindi pa naman final sem but it seems like bantay sarado nya yung grades ko. It's still my fault too dahil i know that he doesn't like my brother to take our company ako na lang inasahan nya but i failed him. I don't have a freedom to choose the path i want to go because i was trapped here in the path I choose.
"Ouch," angal ko when my grandma was trying to put the ice on my cheeks.
"Don't mind your dad apo, you know how much he wanted you to take the company right?" My grandma conforted me. She was always been my safe zone.
"But i failed him... Again." Mahinang sagot ko, my lola held my chin and look at my eyes.
"Stop being guilty. You don't failed him, but instead he failed to understand you." She told me, am i being guilty?
"Pero-" she cut me.
"Apo believe in yourself instead of believing that you failed or believing in others." And that hits me hard.
Am i being selfless? I know that i was doing my best and all for myself and for my friends maybe being selfless a little won't harm you right? Cause what if others really need you, you're not there for them it was just i will feel some guilt.
"Yuna! Kanina ka pa dyan tulala?" Shai shake my shoulders dahilan para matauhan ako.
"Y-yeah sorry." I shook my head.
"Kapal naman ng blush on mo sis." I don't know if she notices it but i hope not.
"Dami mong napapansin." I chuckled sarcastically at kinuha ang bag ko para tumayo.
"Joke lang, saan ka ba pupunta?" She asked me and she also get her bag and stand up.
"Nothing, let's go i'm hungry." Surprisingly she didn't complained anything bagkus ay kusa lang s'yang sumama saakin.
And as usual for me i saw Jan waving his hand at me so i smiled and wave my hand a little back to him.
"Inlove yan?" Pang-aasar ni Shai kay Jan nang makalapit saamin ang lalaki
"Kiel halika nga dito-" agad tinakpan ni Shai yung bunganga ni Jan dahilan para mapatawa ako.
"Masyado ka ng madaldal dapat sayo tinatakpan yung bunganga." Shai remove her hands on Jan's mouth, "yak ang baho na tuloy nang kamay ko." Shai joke at kumuha pa ng alcohol sa bag.
"Arte nito." Jan hissed, "ikaw Yuna kumain ka na ba?" He asked me.
"We're about to eat." I pointed Shai who's busy sanitizing her hands.
Jan's gaze turn to my cheeks kaya napa iwas ako ng tingin sakanya.
"Pwede ka makausap?" He asked me.
I was about to asked a permission to Shai when she open her mouth.
"Take your time, naghihintay ako dito." She said naka taas ang isang kilay.
Nagpaalam kami sakanya kaya sumunod na ako kay Jan, maikli lang ang mga hakbang na ginagawa nya para magkapantay kami hanggang balikat nya lang kaya ako!
"Oh." Agad kong tinignan yung towel na hawak nya na inabot nya saakin.
"What's that—ouch." Reklamo ko dahil agad nyang nilagay yung towel sa pisngi ko, i just realize that it has ice.
"Anong nangyari d'yan sa pisngi mo?"
