"are you excited to get your costume?"

she nods, feverishly "yeah!"

you giggle, helping your little sister out of the car; you hold eri's hand as her, you and your mother cross the street. you look down at her, "eri, you never told me—what are you gonna be?"

"i wanna be something scary! like a ghost!" she lets go of your hand, raising her arms up in a 'frightening' manner.

you hold in your giggles, following the girl into the store.

while looking through the costumes, your mother turns to you, "are you gonna take eri trick or treating again this year?"

"i have every year?"

"why don't i take her, so you can spend time with your friends?"

you pause, "really? thanks, mom"

"oh my gosh! do you know what this means?!" mina squeals, as you explain the situation to her,

you blink, "no, i really don't"

"don't you understand? this is the first halloween we had where everyone was here and not busy—we're going out!"

you shrug, "why don't we just stay in?"

"are you crazy?! christmas is a stay-at-home holiday; halloween is not"

"people stay home on halloween all the time. who do you think gives out the candy?"

"not us!" she wraps an arm around your shoulder,

"class 1-a is hitting the town!"

"ugh"

"she sure is persuasive" ochaco sighs as she puts on her costume; all of the girls were in your room, putting on your costumes and throwing small amounts of shade at mina—who wasn't there, of course.
