The Nanny: 13

:Nevaeh M. Parker:

        I sat on the bench at the park that's across my old, run-down apartment. August was playing with his 3 nieces- who were adorable and funny by the way.

"Ms. Parker! Luh at what I got ya!" Kay ran up to me with a dozen of almost dead flowers in her hand

"Aww, thank you cutie" I smiled. She gave me a quick hug and ran back to Aug, but ran back to me

"They spittin' again" She covered her eyes

"Spitting?"

"Luh" She pointed to August and Tati who were kissing roughly

"Oh, that's nothing. C'mon, want some ice cream?"

"Mhm!" She smiled, jumping a little 

"Me too- Me three!" Noonie and Chay ran up towards us

"Alrighty" 

        They hurried to the ice cream truck and started babbling on what they wanted to have. Walking up to the truck, I tried pulling out my 5 bucks that I had in my wallet.

        Bumping into someone, I looked up and looked away quickly- biting my lip.

"I- Um, sorry" I stuttered 

"It's okay, beautiful" He spoke

        I peeked up to see the person. Caramel skin that looked smooth, but had little droplets of sweat that glistened his body. His dark brown hair was in a big bun, and I noticed his chocolate eyes and plump pink lips. 

        Plump pink lips always seemed to remind me of Michael- someone who I didn't want to think about. 

"Uh.. Er? Sorry" I cleared my throat "I'mma just- okay" 

        I hated being awkward in front of boys. It seemed to be a problem for me. 

"Wait a sec," He stopped me from walking away "What's your name?"

"Nevaeh" I said softly

"Well, Nevaeh," He smiled, quickly licking his lips "Can I have your number?" 

"I don't know if that's a good idea right now" I stated, knowing the girls were waiting for me

"I understand" He chuckled "Hope to see you again" 

        He smiled brightly, turning to walk away. I couldn't stop looking at his back muscles which seemed to catch me in a daze.

"Aye! Aye!.... AYE!" Noonie yelled in my face "HOLLO?!"

"Huh?" 

"We had our ice cream, You just gotta pay fo' it" She swayed back and forth 

        Laughing, I paid the ice cream man. Noonie, Chay, and Kay ran back to August and tackled him to the mulch.

"Yo?! What the fuck?!" You heard August fuss in the background

"Hey girl, who was that nigga you was talkin' to?" Tati smirked 

"I don't know, he never mentioned his name" I shrugged

"Or maybe you never asked!" She hollered "When was the last time you went out with a boy?" She raised her eyebrow

"I never had a boyfriend, Tati, you know that" I snarled, rubbing my temples

        To be honest, I never seen myself dating anyone or any boy. Maybe it's because I always got bullied and tortured by people in all the schools I went to. Only one who's been by my side was Tati- and she was all I had, and I still do.

"Oh shit, yeah, my bad babygirl" She kissed my face "But lemme go work my magic"

        She gave me a peace sign and jogged after the dude I bumped into a couple minutes ago. 

"What- oh God" I mumbled to myself

        Tati started talked to him, as he drunk the water out of his water bottle. He grinned and smiled the entire time, taking glances at me while he spoke at some moments. Tati started to jump up and down as she walked my way with him by her side.

        I'm screwed...

"Okay Nevaeh, this is Keith" Tati smiled widely

"Hi" I blushed lightly, trying to keep a straight face

        Epic fail, yo.

"Nice to meet you again" Keith gleamed 

"Same here" I said nervously, as I quickly wiped my hands on my jeans

"Is it okay if I ask for your number again?" He grinned

"I'm guessing he wants your number" Tati whispered to me

"No dip, Sherlock" I huffed 

        Keith chuckled, holding out his phone and I anxiously took it. It was already unlocked and on the adding contacts screen. Putting my contact in, he took it back and sent a text to my number.

        August got tired of me flipping my phone in front of his face yesterday morning, so he gave me an iPhone 5s- which is something I'm not used to.

"Thanks, gorgeous. I'll text you later" He sent me a wink and walked off

        My body began to release tension that I didn't notice that I had built up. 

        Though I had got fired, I miss Michael and mostly Kobe. I just wanted to do this job right, but I have no idea what I did. Why did he fire me? Please, somebody explain. 

"Who was dat?" August walked up to me with the 3 cuties

"Just a guy" I shrugged

"Mm, what he need? Yo numba? Nah.. He don't needa hit ya ass up, ma- you good bein' single. Betta yet, wit' Michael" He smacked his teeth "But he bein' a dick with no damn balls"

        I raised my eyebrow.

"Cause I chopped dem muthafuckas off with my knife, yo. Wish his ass would push ya in a bush- shoo'"

"August, shut up" I mumbled

"Nah, cause it seem ta me like you ain't do nun wrong. Like, he just fired ya fo' no reason. Make no gatdamn sense. He need dis dick to make him betta, fo'real tho" 

"Unc, what you talm 'bout?" Chay tapped his hand

"We talm 'bout someone who can suck my left nut" August twisted his mouth

"Wait.. Nut? Like peanuts?" She gasped

Tati busted out laughing, "She sayin' your balls tiny as hell!" 

        I saw someone I didn't want to see, and quickly walked away. 

"Nevaeh, wait" He grabbed my wrist

"Let go of me" I snapped, snatching my wrist out of his soft grip

"I know you're mad at me, but I have an explanation" He sighed, wiping his face in frustration

"And that is?"

"She's trying to kill you, Nevaeh"
