Tharn's POV

I wasn't able to convince Type to stay so I had a talk with Mae and Por. We had decided maybe it was better for us to move to a hotel and visit them during the day. That way the asshole doesn't know where Type lives and won't come back for revenge.

You can see the guilt in Por's eyes. I think he believes it is his fault that Type is in so much pain. Mae just looks sad that this happened to her son and angry that they couldn'thave done anything more to help him not be so effected by the events. She had a hard look on her face with the slightest quiver on her lips.

Now to have Type agree to this setup was the difficult part. He is dead set on leaving. I don't think it would be a good idea to run from this problem.

"Did....you talk to them?" Type looks at me with need. But I'm not sure what exactly he needs or just wants. Maybe he really isn't ready and needs to leave. Or he just needs to face it even if he's scared. I just don't know. I can't help him much. I'm an outsider in this situation.

"Yeah." I pause contemplating how to word this. "We talked. And we .....think that maybe you and I can just stay at a hotel at night and be here during broad day light. I wouldn't leave your side ever. I promise." He looks at me like he is in physical pain thinking about the idea of staying. "Your parents want you here. It's hurting them too."

"I can't. Please. I can't." I close my eyes hoping to not show tears.

"Type.....are you sure? We could find the safest and best hotel." I try to convince him.

"My dad's hotel was supposed to be the safest! But it wasn't! Not when it should have been!" Type cries out. I can hear a stumble back. I look over and see Por standing at the doorway. His guilt worsening based off his shiny, watery eyes.

"You know it's no one's fault. Other than that bastards." I tell Por more than I do Type. "I promise you will be safe anywhere as long as someone you love is by your side. Like Por and Mae. Max and Tul. Me. We will all stand with you no matter what." Type hugs me what feels like the millionth time today. Not that I will complain. It's just not great circumstances.

"I...I-I.....okay. We can stay, b-ut I do...n't want to go to a hotel." I nod glad that we actually can still stay here. I thought it was the safest but given that some room around here holds horrible memories.... I wasn't sure if we did stay that Type would want to stay here.

"Okay. I'm sure your parents will love that." I say to him as he holds on tighter. I get the feeling that I will be unable to leave his side even if I wanted to.

He nods. "Well I wasn't going to say anything, but Tul, Max, and Kohm wanted to go a Cafe of some sort. Apparently it was a popular hang out in high school. Would you feel up to....you know...going?" He seems to think long and hard about it.

"Yeah. Can't leave them alone at the Cafe. They'll be banned for life." Type tries to joke, but amusement doesn't reach his eyes. I laugh anyway failing at hiding my worry.

"I'll tell them we will be there. Go to Mae and Por for a second. I'll tell you when we should get ready." He lets go of me and walks out the room.

The next hour consists of me waiting in his room while they talk. And cry from what I can hear.

After telling him to get ready we head out of the house. Type has his arm around me the whole time we walk to the destination. Something I would usually love, but I can't bring myself to do it right now. It just fills me with worry.

When we arrive the atmosphere seems to change. Type seems more relaxed and carefree. Though there are still some settle things. Like almost sitting on my lap. And not letting go of my hand under the table like at all.

The most noticeable is now though. I try to stand up to go to the bathroom and I am very obviously pulled back down. It catches everyone's attention at the table. "Where are you going?" Type asks sounding distressed.

"I need to go to the bathroom." I respond. He gives me a 'don't-leave-me' face. I whisper, "Don't worry I will be right back. You'll be okay. You've got Max, Tul, and Kohm." Said friends look at me very concerned.

After doing my business I am startled by Tul standing behind me while I wash my hands. "Jeez Tul. You'll give someone a heart attack doing that."

"Type saw him right." My surprise gave away the answer. "I see."

"You know." I state.

"I've suspected. The signs are all there. And he started getting like he was at 9  again. It was yesterday right? He started getting closer to you and he was elsewhere in his thoughts." I can't help but keep gaping at him.

"Does Type know you know?" I ask.

"No. And I won't say anything till he does. But I'm glad he told someone. You lightened his burden by listening. You brought my friend back. Thank you." Tul has shiny eyes. "Anyways, let's go back out."

"Do you all know?" I can't help but ask.

"We never talk about it directly, but I'm pretty sure they both are suspecting it as well." I nod at this new information.

"Let's go." I start walking out and I sit down next to Type. He seems to visibly relax once I sit down next to him. I get knowing, sad looks.

They must be good friends. To have gone through everything they did and yet they never truly left him. Even when asked.

I kiss Type's temple. Tul and Max tease us. Kohm just laughs. This is kinda nice.
