Pink Tulips

Leo's POV
School just ended and we are almost done with the project using Carly's design, not gonna lie I am a bit nervous to face her and confront my feelings about her

I have read and heard so many girls rejecting guys like me in hopes to find someone better, Mom is supporting me on this

So there is no turning back now, I went out of school and drove to find a flower shop

I went inside and there were so many types of pretty flowers to choose from, the florist is an old lady who has her white hair in a braid

Her eyes still have youth in them, her face has wrinkles from smiling over the years. the lady saw me and told me to come to her

"What flowers do you need dear?" she asked in a sweet voice

I feel the tip of my ears become warm and I look anywhere "I am going to confess"

The lady gave a hearty laugh "I know, everyone comes to the flower shops mostly for their love ones" I scratched the back of my neck in embarrassment

"no need to get embarrassed dear we all have our confessions in life, ah! here it is" she pulled out pink tulips and wrapped them

She gave them to me
"what do pink tulips mean?" I asked her

"affection, caring, good wishes and love" she said

I paid her and I said goodbye, I drove to the hospital and held the bouquet of tulips in one hand

I passed by some doctors, nurses and patients who were curious

"wonder who is the lucky lady" an old man in a wheelchair said as he talked to his wife

"I wish to find someone like him" a nurse said as she gossips with her colleagues, they all squealed

"good luck" a male doctor whispered to me and patted my back

I was now at the front door of Carly's ward, my heart was beating really fast and I was circling around a bit

I finally gathered up the courage and I went in

Carly's POV
After Brittney and I talked she asked me if I wanted a light snack and I said yes to her, so right now I am waiting for my snack

I looked out the window, you can see a huge park from up here. Everyone seems to be enjoying themselves down there under the fair weather

I heard the door open
"Finally you're here Brit-" I stopped mid-sentence when I saw Leo at the door

He was standing there for a moment then he walked slowly to me he sat beside my bedside, I saw that something is hiding behind his back

"Hi Carly" he greeted me

"Leo" I said in a quiet voice, he was fiddling with his hands behind his back holding something but he looks nervous to show it

I smiled a little at him "are you okay?" I asked him, it looks like any minute he is going to faint

He instantly pulled out a bouquet of pink tulips, my eyes went wide in surprise

I held the bouquet that he gave me and he is looking everywhere but me

"about the-"

"the kiss?" I said and I finished his sentence for him, he nodded

"look I'm sorry if I took it from you, I know you are mad and I-" his voice is shaking a bit

"why am I going to be mad?" I questioned him, it was fun teasing Leo like this

He was stuttering in some sentence, Leo is looking down and is apologizing to me

I sighed and I put down the bouquet on my lap, I cupped his face with both of my hands and I caressed his cheek

"why am I going to be mad Leo?" I asked him once more

Leo's POV
Carly is cupping my face and caressing my cheek, I can't help it

I grabbed her hand and I can feel tears coming out "well" my voice is literally shaking

Her voice is so soft when she asked me, from this moment and onward I thought that Carly is going to hate me a lot

Carly's POV
Leo's tears keep coming out while he is holding one of my hands from cupping his cheek

"well?"

He looked at me with tears in his eyes
"I thought you were going to hate me about the kiss and avoid me, I hate that idea of you avoiding me because I love you Carly" he said

I was there frozen at what he said even though I can already see this from a mile away, I still didn't expect him to say it

"I love your eyes, your hair, your smile, and everything about you!" he said in a semi loud voice, he was out of breath from that confession

Leo's POV
Carly was quiet and was just staring at me, I can't take it anymore so I stand up and tried to walk away but I felt Carly hold my hand

"is it true?" she asked me as her eyes shine

"yes, all of it is true" I said, she looked down for a moment then looked at my face

She pulled my hand downward which forced me to bend, Carly encircled one of her arms around my neck and kissed my cheek

Carly's POV
I whispered in his ear
"I love you too Leo" suddenly Leo hugged me so hard my shoulder hurt again

"ouch" I said from the pain, Leo apologized immediately from the tight hug

"could-could you repeat that one more time please" he requested and sat down beside me on my hospital bed

Leo's POV
Carly smiled at me and whispered in my ear
"I love you too Leo"

I was extremely happy, this is amazing

I intertwined my hand with hers and she giggled
"get better, soon I am going to take you out" I told her in her ear

She raised a brow at me laughed then nodded

Carly's POV
I had enough of me ignoring my feelings, from this moment onward I am going to be honest

Leo kissed my hand with happiness
