Four Seasons Of Love

Leo's POV
My phone alarmed for me to wake up but I am already awake because I didn't get a wink of sleep last night

I dragged myself out of bed and went into the bathroom, the face that I'm looking at right now in the mirror is a mess

I'm not really bothered about what I look like right now and just prepared myself to go to school, grabbing my bag and went downstairs

I heard the toaster go off and I smelled fried egg, I took a peek at the kitchen to see Kathrina preparing breakfast

My eyes widened and I stopped her from frying the egg
"why are you cooking? Your 7 years old you could get burnt!"

"Mom is asleep at the couch drooling with her mouth open, she must be very tired last night" Kathrina pointed at mom who is really drooling quite a lot

Kathrina is a very smart, cheeky and caring girl but I hope she won't go to the extent of getting herself hurt because she cares enough for others but herself

I carried Kathrina away from the stove and put her on the dining chair, I took the spatula from her hand and continued making breakfast for the three of us

I finally finished cooking breakfast and we were about to eat, when Kathrina pulled out a piece of folded paper from her teddybear backpack pocket and gave it to me

"What is this?" I asked as I took the folded paper from her

"it's my diagnosis" she is showing a toothy grin

I smiled back at her and checked the clock, I was late

I stood up in a hurry and took my bag and ran straight to the door

I stopped at the doorstep and turned around
"Hey, Kath do you need a ride to school?"

"no need the bus is almost here anyway" she said with a mouth filled with pancakes

I went to Kathrina and patted her head and ran straight to my car, I started it

I finally arrived at school and no one is outside since class already started, lucky for me Art is my first subject but I have to face Carly

I found the Art classroom and was about to open it when the paper that Kathrina gave me was still in my hand

I put it in my pocket and went inside

Carly's POV (few minutes before Leo came in)

Miss Hazel told us that there will be a huge project that we have to do since the Foundation Day of our school is near

"what you guys have to do is..." she pulled out an enormous piece of paper and opened it in front of us
"'Four Seasons Of Love', that will be our theme for the Foundation day and for prom" she smiled

Everyone was excited, the girls squealed and the guys high fived each other

In the paper, there is Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall

Suddenly the back door of our classroom was opened loudly, I turned around and it was Leo who has messy hair

We made eye contact but it didn't last since he looked at miss Hazel and apologize he came late so he took the back seat

Miss Hazel brought out a box
"in this box there are pictures
A Snowflake for Winter, A daisy for Spring, A Sun for Summer and lastly an Orange leaf for Fall"

There were murmurs in the class and I was interested in what we will have to do

"This is a group project" everybody groaned

"now now I know that everybody hates group projects but I won't get to choose which group some of you will fall in cause you will have to choose it based on what picture you get"

Me and Stacy looked at each other, Stacy noticed that I got nervous
"Carly we've been doing this since we were little you'll be fine"

"no Stacy I don't care about that I'm more worried about her" I pointed to Brittney who is looking at her glittery nails and is not listening

"and them" I added as I pointed to the Jocks who are asleep at the other side of the class and some of them not caring at all"

"I was hoping for a more normal group" I  sighed

"don't you worry" we looked at our backs and it was Kevin

"they may be jocks but they have a grade to uphold their position at being a varsity" Kevin said as he pointed at them

"I doubt that" Stacy commented as she fixed her glasses on her face

"remember Jonathan?, the fall out Varsity player of the football team" Stacy asked Kevin

"oh yeah I remember him he made such a ruckus in the football field since he got kicked out because of his grades and now he is brought in the army by his dad"

"now if Jonathan can, THEY can" Stacy glanced at the jocks

"it's time to know your groups" Miss Hazel came to us one by one with the box and each of us got a paper
"alright open them"

I opened mine to find that I got an Orange leaf "I got Fall" I whispered to myself

"I got summer" Stacy showed me her paper
"same" Kevin showed his

"now did everybody got to know what season they got?"

Everybody nodded

"Now then all those who got a snowflake please stand" we saw Ross stand up and 5 more others three are from the jocks and 2 are really well known for being lazy

"I pity Ross" Stacy commented
"I hate that idiot but damn that's gotta be a bad combo of people" Kevin replied as he l

"know then for those who are in Summer please stand" Stacy stood up along with Kevin

And they got the best group I tell you, I was a bit jealous of Stacy a bit

I looked at Leo and he isn't standing up yet

" now those who are in Fall please stand"

I stood up and 2 Jocks stood up, along with Brittney

Stacy just looked at me with pity

"But look on the bright side" we look at Kevin

"Leo is in your group"

All of our eyes landed on Leo who is looking at me

Our eyes meet again and this time we have nowhere to look but each other at that moment
