Too Close

Leo's POV
After standing in the hallway for a long time the bell rang and the music room is just near, so I walked to it

As I was getting closer I heard laughter inside, I took a peek and I saw Carly and Kevin laughing

I was just admiring Carly's laugh, she is enjoying talking to Kevin

But there is something in me that just want to hit Kevin in the face but I don't know why and also there's this weird feeling in my chest again

I caught Kevin's eye while he was still laughing
"Hey, Leo!!"

My reaction is just standing there frozen, there is suddenly a loud noise at my back and I was pushed forward causing me to stand next to the grand piano looking at Carly and Kevin sitting side by side

My thought is 'YOU'RE TOO CLOSE TO HER!!'

I must have stared at both of them for too long because Carly asked me
"want to join in?"

I would've answered "as long as Kevin stand up so I can sit" but that would make me look like I'm jealous of them so I didn't answer and went to look for a seat

••••Lunch time••••

Walking to lunch is not an easy feat because there are too many girls just blocking my path to the cafeteria, I did regret dating some of them because they are too desperate and don't know the meaning of me ignoring them

I finally got in the cafeteria after a long hard time of me having to keep up with my poker face so they don't keep disturbing me

At the very far side of the cafeteria I saw Carly, Kevin and Ross together talking

I looked at our usual table to where we always sit but it's empty and the table next to it is Brittney eyeing me, I sighed and just head straight to their table since I have no choice

I put my bag down next to Carly for to anyone signal that it is already a taken seat, it was a bit awkward so to break it off I asked
"I'm going to buy shakes anyone wants some?"

"sure" Ross answered
And Carly said "me too" I gave her a nod

I went to the shake stand to buy some chocolate shake for me, a fruit shake for Carly

And lastly vanilla shake for Ross, I walked back to our seat to find that Stacy is sitting between Carly and Ross

I smirked at the sight, I sat down beside Carly and gave her the shake

At the corner of my eyes, I saw Brittney gave Carly a dirty look, I also heard a lot of whispers at different tables with their judging eyes looking at us

Carly hid herself even more in her hoodie to hide herself from their gaze I was worried when she did that, I gave the people surrounding us a death stare and they all went silent

All of them went back to what they are doing and not looking at us anymore, it seems that Ross also noticed what is happening so he asked a question to divert the icy tension between all of us
"so who is coming to the fair with us?"

"you guys are going to the fair can I come?" Kevin asked with a mouthful of chips and he kept putting more in his mouth

And both Stacy and Carly whispered something to each other, and I ate the apple pie that I bought along the way to buying our shakes

"What about you Leo, you coming?" Kevin asked and all their eyes were on me

I looked up from my apple pie and I glanced at both Carly and Ross

I suddenly think "I'm so not gonna give these two alone time"

"I'm coming too" I replied

Carly's POV
I looked at my closet to see what I should wear for the fair when I heard a knock at my door, it was Jasper coming in

"I have never seen you focus so much about what you are going to wear sis" Jasper said as he is looking for something in my bookcase

I looked at him "what on earth are you looking for?" and Jasper looked at the top corner

"I left my food magazine here by accident" and he left as he took the magazine

I looked back at my closet and I still don't know what I should wear, I heard my door is slammed open which startled me

It was Stacy wearing a Black Sweater Crop top and ripped jean pants along with plain white shoes

"What on earth are you doing Carly? everyone is downstairs waiting for you"

And Stacy looked through my closet and chose an outfit for me

It was a plain white t-shirt crop top, a high waisted shorts and maroon combat boots

She also fixed my hair into a long french braid that reached my waist since my hair is long

Stacy knows that I can show my hair where there are a lot of people because people will be distracted by other stuff and not stare at me

Sure some looked at me but I doubt that they will remember me

She finally pulled me downstairs to which I saw Kevin and Leo sitting on the couch and Ross leaning at the couch armrest

I remembered what my brothers did to Ross and they're in the kitchen glaring at Ross

Matt was eating a sandwich, Jasper was sitting at the breakfast nook with the magazine at hand and lastly, Sean stopped writing something down in his notebook

Matt hand gestured me to come to them and both Matt and Jasper walked up to me and whispered

"What is he doing here Carly?!" Jasper asked then he glanced at Ross who is looking at his phone

"I apologized to him after what you guys did" and I flicked Jasper's forehead and he said ouch

"I'm more of ok with the idea of you with the guy with the heterochromia eyes" Matt and I side looked at Leo who is on his looking at our family picture above the fireplace

"you mean Leo?"

He said "yeah him"

"don't worry I'll be fine, I still have the toy alarm that dad gave me" and I walked to the living room

I saw Ross and Kevin gave me a wide-eyed expression while looking at what I was wearing

Leo looked at me in the eyes gave a smile with warm eyes
