The next day
*MANIK'S POV*
I woke up and I oddly felt at peace. Usually I don't sleep at night because all I dream about it me and my nannu's time spent together in the orphanage.
It's not like I don't like remembering or dreaming about her. It's just that knowing I wasn't successful in finding her out makes me wanna kill myself.
But yesterday night, as soon as I held pari and closed my eyes, I slept. I didn't even dream about nannu.
I was broken out of my thoughts with my phone ringing. I immediately picked it up not wanting to disturb Pari's sleep.
"Hello. Yes cabir. Okay I'll be there. You come here so that someone is there to look after pari. Okay fine. Yeah bye."
Stupid people. Because of some shipping got delayed I have to go to our warehouse to make sure that nothing is wrong. God! Now where is this cabir?!
After wating for like 20 minutes, in came the man himself royaly eating a donut. I was staring at him in disbelief when he said in a sing song and lady voice
"Esse na mujhe tum dekho seene se laga loonga" (don't look at Me like that I'll hug you)
I was about to say something when he said "manik baby kya kar rahe ho have patience raat ko karenge."
(Manik baby what are you doing have patience we'll do it at night)
My eyes went wide in horror and I immediately ran from there before cabir takes away my innocence.
On the way to my exit I heard booming laughter of cabir and couldn't help but smile at his weird antics that always makes me smile.
*CABIR'S POV*
it was all part of the plan to make manik go from here so that I could clear what doubt I had.
I couldn't help but stare at pari who was lying lifelessly looking pale. She reminded me of someone. She reminded me of my princess. My chhoti.
The malhotras were my neighbors. I was on America with my Parents when manik called and excitedly told me about the girl he met. He would say "She is my nannu"
I has never seen him so happy. When I came from America, I straight away went to the orphanage where Manik's nannu lives. That day was the best day of my life.
FLASHBACK
I was just 10 mins away from the orphanage when driver kaka suddently applied breaks.
I asked him "what happened kaka? Why did you stop?" He looked at me and said "a small girl holding a puppy was sitting in the middle of the road . If I wouldn't have stopped, she would have died."
I nodded my head and went outside. There I saw a small girl wearing pink frock holding a puppy to her chest was sitting on the road.
Sensing someone's presence she looked up. She was so beautiful. She gave me a vibe of little sister. So I bent down to her height and said "why are you sitting in the middle of the road princess?"
She innocently said "the puppy was about to get killed. So I ran and saved him. I did right na bhaiya?"
