[Rose's POV]

After two weeks of living in Hogwarts I found it easy to adjust. I made lots of friends not only in Gryffindor, but in all of the other houses except for Slytherin. I quickly learned of the rivalry between Gryffindors and Slytherins. Would that mean that Draco would hate me like all of the other Gryffindors? The bonding we had in Diagon Alley will it mean nothing to him?

I didn't notice I was crying until a tear dripped onto the picture I was drawing. The picture was of Hogwarts castle from where I was seated next to the Black Lake. Whenever I was sad I would let my creativity out by drawing and creating music. Some people would say I was talented at what I do but I don't see anything special about what I create. None of my work seems to make the POP I want them to.

Wiping away the tears that were streaming down my face, I stood up with all of my belongings and turned around to start my way up to the castle. Not noticing a body in front of me, I bumped into someone. Everything went everywhere, and I ended up on top of a muscular body.

How embarrassing! Quickly getting up I started to collect my things. I looked up at the person I knocked over, I was shocked to see Harry standing there looking right at me. Getting over the shock, I sputtered out, "Sssoo... Sorrryy Harrrryy. I ddidn't mmeaannnn too." Without any warning he started to crack up and could hardly breathe.

With no thinking involved, I threw my sketch book at him to shut him up. Once it hit him in the head he stopped laughing to look at me with an expression as if I hurt him. I didn't believe he was hurt for one moment. With fake tears starting to form in his eyes, I couldn't help but to crack up at him. "You're so weird! Did you really think that I would fall for the fake crying?" Our laughing had dissolved the awkwardness between us instantly.

Harry was laughing at this point too. He picked up my sketch book at started to flip through it. His laughter dying down, Harry's face became serious when he saw my drawings. Going through some more of the pages he looked up, "I didn't know you could draw. You're really talented Rose!" Blushing at his compliment, I turned my gaze to look across the Black Lake.

[Harry's POV]

I was telling the truth; she was a wonderful artist. Everything she drew was perfect, it showed everything just the right way so people would always be happy when they look at them. This girl just amazes me like no other; she's beautiful, talented, and isn't afraid of anything. I must be falling for Rose.

I couldn't help myself when I saw her sitting next to the Black Lake; I HAD to come and talk to her. It seems like we've known each other all of our lives really. With a sudden realization I found a way we could spend more time together, "Quidditch tryouts are in a couple days. You should try out for the team. I could help you practice if you want." I hope she says yes; it would just make my day, well night, whatever.

She turned grinning at me, "That would be PERFECT Harry!" I couldn't help but have one of the cheesiest smiles on my face when she agreed. Hopefully this is going to be the happiest year at Hogwarts so far that I have. Her smile, her hair, everything about her was beautiful in the moonlight. Everything about her was just sucking me into her presence; if I wasn't with her it seemed like I wasn't whole anymore.
