Y/n wasn't too sure if she was going about this whole ordeal the right way, stepping outside in the sun she frowned,

Sukuna stood next to her, he held her hand and promised,

"I'm never going to leave you, alright?"

"I know, I'm hesitant but better late then never right?"

Y/n had nothing more to say, just relief that her love wasn't stranding her, the sky was clear and the other curses, servants stood silently watching them...Suki was sitting in her room weeping and Uraume had hugged
Y/n with a heavy sigh. Much to Uraume's disappointment, Sukuna insisted that no one else join them.

"Goodbye" she mumbled to the shrine, the place where she called home for nearly a year...speaking of a year she had realised that they had almost hit a milestone, the winter wind blowing her kimono back.

Sukuna and Y/n shut their eyes and soon after they were near a forest. The same one Y/n had killed that curse, they decided to camp near a hot spring deep in the woods,

"Are you sure you want to do this?" He asked,

"Yes..if there's nothing else I can do.. I don't have the energy to fight so I might as well finish what I started peacefully"

"Just saying, we could still go back"

"I'm not going to run away"

"Fine.."

For the first time Sukuna felt concern, worry for someone other than himself, he secretly wondered how'd they ended up here, the one person he bought to manipulate ended becoming the only jewel that didn't shine crimson.

"I think I'll-" An audible gasp escaped Y/ns lips as the ground beneath her slipped, the slippery stones she stepped on making it more difficult for her to hold ground,

"Careful..please" Sukuna mumbled rushing up to catch her, he'd heal her in an instant if he could, but now all he could do was protect her,

"Y-yes, these rocks-Sukuna?" She asked confused when he pulled her into his arms, sighing and kissing the top of her head,

"Y/n..I don't want to loose you, please lets turn back. I will protect you at all costs but the vow we made..it was like a binding contract. I can't break it because it means destroying you in the process. Let's find anot-"

"I'm tired, just tired and exhausted. I want to finish this...erase this scoreboard that I drew the first mark on"

He was hoping she'd listen, but staying with him only made her stubborn, so arguing was a dead end.

"If this is what you truly want or at least pretend to want then I'll stay...but just say the word and we'll get out of here faster than you'd think"

She nodded, over time he'd learnt to understand her, sometimes say what was on her mind and it worked to their benefit but now however, she wished he wouldn't see through her like that. It's true, if she was being honest, what she really wanted was to make peace with everyone and live a nice life with Sukuna, maybe somewhere quite and quaint.
