This is a poem written from Jay's perspective for Nya. I rewatched Seabound and was feeling like crying so I thought maybe sad Jaya was what I needed to write at the moment.

You're the oasis in the desert
The warmth of the flame
You're my anchor in a sea storm
My shelter in the rain
You're the good in all that's evil
The yang to my yin
You're the answer to my questions
The heart I have within
And I'll always say, "I love you"
Just to hear you say it too
But somehow you never seem to
So I'll say it to feel true
I love you
You're my third wish from the genie
The future in the tomb
You're always there to save me
When I'm falling to my doom
I'm your favorite color blue
The yin to your yang
And no matter where I stray
I'll come back like a boomerang
And I'll always say, "I love you"
Just waiting for you too
But somehow you never seem to
So I'll sing it out for you
I love you
When my lungs exhaled water
Couldn't breathe, could only stumble
You accepted your spiritual slaughter
'Cause that's how the cookie crumbles
You tore yourself from me
When you jumped into the blue
And all that I could hear
Was you when you whispered,
"I love you"
And words of the heart are better unsaid
You were on the right path and I was misled
I took you for granted, now look where we are
So far from each other, we're two worlds apart
I run on the land, you're under the ocean
I sink in the sand, you sink in emotions
Days pass me by and I drown in guilt
I'm all alone on the love that we built
And you always said, "I love you"
I was just too blind to see
I'll tear the earth to find you
In hopes you'll forgive me
And now I understand
A love from the heart is true
I'm your yin, you're my yang
We'll sing in the voice of two,
"I love you"
