Wire My Heart

They say computers don't make mistakes
Simply replace them if something breaks
Don't have to buy cards or birthday cakes
'Cause they don't mind if your love is fake

Then there comes a thought,
"Wait a minute!

If humans were bots,
we'd have no limits

We would look great,
tied to circuits."

Then what is the wait?
Go, break me to bits

Destroy my brain, insert some batteries
Go calculate my success from your pie chart
Pull out my veins and all my arteries
Connect the plates, go on and wire my heart

The kids nowadays are just machines
Sensitive souls under metal sheets
Nobody told us we're human beings
No wonder we've lost our self-esteem

Pushing our levers,
give us a task

"Don't act clever,
smile through the mask!"

Just like wound up toys,
with cuts and cracks

A graveyard of joys,
upon our backs

No stress or strain, start me with your keys
Miserable fate presented like a fine art
Pull out my veins and all my arteries
Connect the plates, go on and wire my heart

The brain's over heating
The data's deleting
The system's repeating
The process of beating

The coldness is seeping
The machine starts beeping
It's dying, not sleeping
The virus is creeping

Ignore my pain, burn all my fantasies
Hit my dreams straight with the aim of your dart
Pull out my veins and all my arteries
Connect the plates, go on and wire my heart
