"Every year, the school has a student showcase," Tadashi explained, stapling an SFIT Showcase flyer onto the wall above Hiro's desk and another on the corkboard above Ariyana's dresser. "You come up with something that blows Callaghan away, you're in. But, it's gotta be great."
Hiro turned his head, smirking at Ariyana sat on his bed, who smirked back, a blank sketchbook open in her lap. "Trust me. It will be." The two got to work with ideas, sketching and writing away.

Hours later, by nightfall, tons and tons of crumpled-up pieces of paper were scattered all over Hiro's desk.
"Nothing! No ideas! Useless! Empty! Brain!" Hiro groaned, banging his head on the desktop in unison with his words.
"Wow. Washed up at fourteen," Tadashi chuckled from across the room, simply turning the page of his book with a smirk. "So sad." Ariyana giggled in response, Tadashi smiling at her.
"I've got nothing! I'm done! I'm never getting in!" Hiro complained in defeat.
Tadashi stood up and briskly walked toward Hiro. He smacked his chair so it spun around so Hiro was facing him. "Hey." Tadashi leaned forward, his hands on the arms of the chair. "I'm not giving up on you."
