4 months.

4 months Bad had been living with Skeppy, and for four months the two of them had been attending school together after Bad enrolled as a transfer student, and four months since the two had first met. It had been three months of calm after everything, after almost dying, and after learning how upside down his whole life really had always been. For both boys that is.

Skeppy didn’t mind it, he rather enjoyed having a roommate, he had someone to help him study, and to play videogames with, or fall asleep on the couch watching bad rom coms with. Bad was an anchor in his life that he didn’t realize he needed, but now wasn’t sure he could ever live without again. Bad had even started teaching him galactic a little over a month ago.

It was also nice having someone to call a boyfriend. They’d only ever been on one or two dates total, but neither really complained about it, Skeppy wasn’t one for public dates, and Bad was shy and still trying to navigate the human world. Although there hadn’t been much between them since the kiss. Yeah they would cuddle on the couch, or fall asleep under the same blanket, but it was just that. A light relationship, a wholesome one.

Bad wasn’t complaining about that though, he liked having a partner, he liked having a friend, and he liked having a boyfriend. A relationship of a few chaste goodbye kisses when Skeppy would work, or when one had an early morning class (which was usually just Bad going to class since Skeppy wasn’t really a morning person). At this point it was a new year, and for as much as humans seemed to enjoy the joking tradition of “new year new me” Bad felt it really was that.

Everything was different than it had been a year ago, for both of them. Both in good and bad ways. The holiday season had come and gone, and now they were left with the biting cold of mid January storms. The apartment was also cold, although Bad as usual was oblivious to it all.

“Bad! Shut the dumb window its freezing cold in here!” Skeppy whined from where he was sat bundled up on his couch with three blankets.

Bad was looking out the window and his tail swayed behind him lazily, “No it isn’t.” He hummed, only really half listening as he watched the gentle flakes flutter down to the ground.

Skeppy dramatically stomped over, and pulled the window down, shutting it with a loud thump! “It is cold! Now come sit it’s frickin freezing in here.”

Bad giggled quietly as Skeppy dragged him back to the couch and nest of blankets, pushing the taller demon to sit, before plopping down on his lap and pulling the soft blankets around them. Bad apparently just didn’t get a say in this sudden cuddle time that the human had initiated.

“You’re so clingy.” Bad teased.

Skeppy huffed and pouted, “Am not.”

“Are too”

“Am not”

“Are too”

They were interrupted as Skeppy suddenly turned the tv volume up blasting, startling Bad as the loud intro music blared in a deep hum, making them both laugh. It was warm in the blankets, Bad was like his own little space heater, which he was more than grateful for with the frosty season, and his big idiot of a boyfriend leaving the window open while it was snowing for absolutely ever!

Now it was freezing-as-shit degrees in his little apartment.

Bad began purring softly as the two sat together when they were interrupted again except this time Skeppy’s phone ringing. It was an incoming call from discord, from Sapnap. He rolled his eyes, turned the tv back down to a reasonable level, and answered.
