I dry myself and Carlos off before getting us dressed and going back to the living room.
"Do you still want to go out for lunch?" I ask Carlos
"Yeah," Carlos replies
"Let's go," I say grabbing my keys and heading for my truck
Carlos follows me and opens the passenger side door. I drive us to Revive Coffee just south of the 126.
"Can we stop at the fire station on the way back home?" Carlos asks
"Of course, the team'll be happy to see us, in fact, why don't we take our food to go and just eat it at the fire station," I suggest
"Yay, uncle Judd, and auntie Marjan," Carlos says happily
He's slipping into little space and that's okay, after this morning I think he needs it. I park and go in to order and get our food. I order myself a large mocha latte and a muffin and I get Carlos and small hot chocolate and a muffin. I get our food and head back to my truck.
"Ready?" I ask Carlos
He nods excitedly. I drive us to the 126 and Judd meets us out front.
"Juddy!" Carlos squeals
Judd comes over to the truck and picks Carlos up.
"Hey squirt, what are you doing here?" He asks looking at me
"We decided to go to a cafe and get take out and eat it here," I tell Judd
I hand Judd Carlos's hot chocolate and muffin before we head inside. We sit down in the kitchen and eat our food and hang out till everyone's shifts over.
