Chapter 21

"Congratulations, Caly!"

I am now in my room, looking at the mirror while scanning myself. This day is so special that I had to buy a new pair of black YSL stilettos. I mean, it's not bad. It's my graduation! I am now wearing a black toga and I put down my lipstick when I heard Ate. She hugged me from behind.

"Thank you, Ate!" I hugged her hands dahil nasa likod ko siya.

"Time flies so fast, malapit ka nang umalis dito sa bahay for sure." Ate pouted.

I faced her. "Ate, of course not. Mag-aaral pa ako sa law school."

"Nako, nararamdaman ko na." she smiled sadly.

"Ate talaga," kinuha ko 'yung black chanel quilted bag ko na nasa kama at hinila ko na si Ate palabas ng kwarto.

"How's my baby girl?" Mom asked nang makababa kami ni ate. Naghihintay na sila ni Daddy sa amin.

"I'm nervous, Mom." I said to her.

She hugged me. "I am so proud of you. I love you so much." tears instantly fell from my eyes. Nang iharap niya ako ay pinunasan na niya 'yon kaagad. "Don't cry, you'll ruin your make-up." she chuckled.

"Congratulation, Calynn. Whatever our past issues, I hope napatawad mo na ako." Dad said to me. I just smiled at him. Lumabas na kami ng house at sumakay ng sasakyan. When we were on the car, I decided to text Steve.

To: Love
On our way! Oh my gosh!

From: Love
Calm down, love. Congrats! I love you. So proud of you.

I smiled at his text. When we arrived at our school, agad kong hinanap sina Lian at Nat. Sabay-sabay kaming ga-graduate, si Elly kasi ay one year pa magstay rito dahil 5 years ang program niya.

"Girls! Oh, my gosh, this is it." I excitedly said when I saw the two. Hinihintay raw ni Nat si Addie, papunta na rin daw si Elly.

"Congrats, hoy!" kilalang-kilala na namin 'yung sigaw na 'yon.

"Addie!" parang nabuhayan si Nat at agad niyakap si Addie.

"Congrats, girls!" agad naman kaming napalingon nang marinig si Elly.

"Oh, my gosh, we're complete! Let's take a picture first!" I said excitedly. "Ate, can you take a picture of us, please?" pagpa-pacute ko kay Ate. Natawa lang siya at kinuha 'yung phone ko.

Nakagitna kaming tatlo na nakasuot ng toga at sa magkabilang gilid sina Addie at Elly. Kung ano-anong pose pa ang ginawa namin bago ko marinig 'yung boses ng boyfriend ko.

"Congrats, girls." Steve said while walking towards us. I jumped out of excitement and immediately hugged him. "Congrats, love." he kissed the top of my head and hugged my using his right hand.

"Graduation na lang, may ganiyan pa! Jusko, respeto naman!" Addie hysterically said, as usual.

"Babe, congrats!" nilingon naman namin si Drew. Nagbeso sila ni Lian, humawak si Lian sa braso ni Drew at dinilaan pa niya si Addie.

"Irita!" pabirong sabi ni Addie.

Bago pa man mag hysterical si Addie ay pumasok na kaming tatlo nina Lian at Nat. Nagpaalam na muna kami sa mga parents namin at nagpunta na sila sa kaniya-kaniya nilang seat.

When it's my turn, I am so nervous and I don't know why. Maybe because of so much happiness.

Umakyat na ako at tumingin kina Mommy, Daddy, Ate at Steve. I smiled at them. They're clapping and they look so proud

After the ceremony, mabilis akong lumapit kay Lian para yakapin siya.
