Chapter 18

"Thank you so much, love."

He's hugging me tightly to the point that I can't breath anymore. It feels like he didn't expect this... but why? What would he expect? Of course, I would give all that I can for him to be happy on his day.

I released myself from his hug. "Let's eat na! I bought you a cake!" I smiled widely and pulled him towards the table. "Ako na magp'prepare, upo ka na lang diyan!" I told him. I held both of his arms and forcefully made him sat on the chair. Nagprepare na rin ako ng mini plates para sa cake.

I can feel his stares.

"Love, umamin ka nga," he started.

"Hmm?" nakatalikod ako sa kaniya dahil kumukuha ako ng mga baso.

"Nagwork ka ba kaya ka naging busy?" napahinto ako sa ginagawa ko at unti-unting lumingon sa kaniya.

"Umh," I pursed my lips while slowly walking towards him.

"Bakit pa, love? Hindi naman importante 'yon."

"It's important kaya, it's your birthday, love." nilapag ko 'yung baso sa table. Pinuntahan ko siya at niyakap sa likod niya habang nakaupo siya. "It's okay, pagbigyan mo na ako. Love kita, eh." I kissed his cheek.

"Baka masanay ako na ganiyan ka, love." he pouted.

"Na ano?" I asked habang papunta sa tapat niya para kumain.

"Na lagi kang sweet."

"E 'di masanay ka, wala naman akong balak ihinto 'to." I smiled, napangiti pa siya bago ako ipaglagay ng cake sa plate ko.

While he's eating his cake, I've decided to take a photo of him. Pangbati ko sa kaniya.

"Hold my hand, love." inabot ko sa kaniya 'yung left hand ko at hawak ko 'yung cellphone ko sa right. Kinuha naman niya 'yung kamay ko habang kumakain pa rin ng cake. I quickly clicked the capture dahil ang gwapo niya rito!

Well, lagi naman.

I posted it on my IG and put a sweet caption.

'Happy birthday, love. Thank you for always bringing happiness in my life. You are always loved and important. I love you. ♡'

I giggled upon typing. I'm pretty sure that my friends will make a ruckus on my post again.

I laughed. Talagang gising pa silang lahat ng pass 12:00 AM?

"Why are you laughing?" Steve asked me, kumakain pa rin siya ng cake.

"Our friends are so funny." I said, looking at my phone. He also looked at his phone.

"They really are." he chuckled.

After we ate, naghugas na ako ng plates at natulog na rin kami. Gaya ng dati, sa kwarto ako at sa couch siya. Hindi ako makatulog kaya lumabas ako ng kwarto. Nakita ko siyang tulog na tulog na sa couch.

I went near him. I kneeled and gently brushed his hair.

"Pwede ka naman kasing tumabi sa akin, nagpapakahirap ka pa rito." I whispered.
