Charles' POV
Dave shot a bullet, but another bang was heard too. Rupert bit down onto his lip to stop himself from screaming, grasping his bleeding leg, while Dave fell to the floor, I couldn't tell if he was dead though.
"Charles, Rupert! You guys are ok!" a familiar voice called which turned out to be Henry, landing next to us and retracting his cybernetic gliders
"Well we wouldn't have been if you didn't show up" I sheepishly due to feeling like the damsel in distress in this situation
"Don't thank me, the General was the one with the gun" Henry told us, pointing to the helicopter in the distance
"Don't tell me that Dave is-" Rupert managed to ask through gritted teeth but was cut off by Henry rapidly shaking his head
"No no no no, he isn't dead. Well, he would have if I didn't replace the General's gun with a tranquillizer dart gun. I'm so gonna get it when we get back but I'm just glad nobody's died... yet" he told us.
"Come on, let's head back to the helicopter, that wound of yours looks quite bad" Henry gestured to Rupert's shot leg so we headed towards the helicopter.
The general told me to control the helicopter while he treated Rupert's leg seeing he had more experience with first aid than the rest of us. Henry took a seat with me in the front and we just sat there in silence for ages before it was broken
"I was so worried when I found you're headphones on the floor. I thought the worse had happened to you" Henry admitted, looking to the floor
"I'm stronger than that Henry, you should know that" I smile making him return a weak one back.
"I just had an idea" I suddenly yelled in excitement
"What?" Henry asked, jumping slightly by the sudden tone raise
"I got the greatest plan" I continue
"Wait, you don't mean-" Henry was cut off by the General in the back
"Charlie don't you dare!" Galeforce yelled
"Oh, I do dare" I smirk.
"THIS IS THE GREATEST PLAAAAAAAAAAAAAAN" I yell, not actually crashing the helicopter seeing Rupert was still in recovery but I landed the helicopter in the landing area at such a fast speed almost everyone was thrown around.
"Oh I miss doing that" I chuckled, and eventually, everyone else joined in too.
