Chapter 5

A/N: My goal, get to chapter 7 by the end of the holidays in 3 days cause then I can't update as regularly

Henry's POV

After I left the room, Charles ran up to me
     "Wanna just, I don't know, hang out or something?" he asked, sounding a bit nervous
     "Sure, not like I have anything better to do" I accept.

We just walked around the base for a few hours, occasionally having a small chat but overall just being silent and enjoying eachother's company
     "Why?" I asked out of the blue
     "Why what?" Charles questioned
     "Why do you still want to be my friend? I betrayed you to join the enemy" I put my hands in my oversized jumper pocket (totally didn't steal it from Charles), feeling a bit guilty inside
     "Maybe because I know you're good deep inside, you just need to figure it out" He smiled.

Charles continued chatting to me but it all went through one ear and out the other for me
     "His heart is too good for this world" I thought, smiling when I glanced to see Charles' bright grin when he talked about how he came to loving helicopters so much, not like I was listening.

By the time the sun set, I no longer saw Charles as the helicopter pilot that helped me first enter the airship, but as a true friend. He trusted me so much and I felt the same, which has never happened to me before seeing I've never stayed in one place long enough to actually make friends.

We headed back towards my 'room' when Charles turned to me
     "Today was fun, Henry, should we do it again? I know a spot near here that I would like to take you" Charles offered
     "I like the sounds of that, but I think that will have to be held off until tomorrow" I told him
     "Alright, but aren't you at least going to eat something?" Charles asked, I stood there for a moment in thought
     "Well my torso was replaced so I have no idea if I can actually still eat" I stated
     "Alright then, see you tomorrow then" Charles waved, starting to walk off
     "See ya Charles" I called out, closing the door behind me.

I watched as the meeting room was filled with a few familiar faces, many of a high ranking and others just there cause they were invited
     "As many of you know, we are starting our plan since we have received news about him being alive, with our eyes inside, this will be easier than we thought" I accounted to everyone
     "Excuse me sir, but as one of the lower class members, we haven't heard of this plan yet, can you please tell me what you're planning?" someone asked from the far corner
     "You'll know it when it happens, for now let's get preparations complete before it's time" I finished up, walking out with my second in command beside me.
