Lauren successfully recovered.
The doctors were shocked and considered it as a miracle.
Everyone was happy now that my daughter's already stable as well as her lab works but her doctors suggested na manatili muna siya sa hospital for two days or three for further monitoring just to make sure that my daughter is completely fine.
Bilang isang ina, masaya ako na makitang hindi na nag-aagaw-buhay ang anak ko but on the second thought, Lauren's recovery was not free and I, myself have to pay the price.
Dapat nasa ospital ako, sinasamahan ang asawa ko na bantayan ang anak namin but I had to go to run some important errands.
An errand in exchange of my daughter's recovery.
An errand with Laris and his so-called invention.
An errand that will now make me a 'traitor' in the eyes of my husband and others.
"Have you ever experienced an actual Virtual Reality?" Laris asked. We're on his Headquarters, walking towards his so-called 'precious' lab.
"No." I honestly said.
Scientists tried to create VR's but the technology isn't that enough to support that kind of invention.
Kaya ganun nalang ang gulat ko nang malamang matagumpay niyang nagawa ang ganoong klaseng imbensyon sa mundo ng agham at teknolohiya.
"That's what I thought." Ngumisi siya.
Naglakad siya palapit sa isang scanner at ipinatong ang kanyang isang palad doon. May lumitaw na green light sa ibabaw ng scanner and the door suddenly opened, revealing a humangous room filled with glass capsules with humans inside of it.
Nagulat ako.
"Behold! My subjects and my precious experiments." Laris proudly said with his both arms open. He looked like a fcking villain presenting his evil plan.
How can he be so proud with his so-called 'precious experiments' when he's using a human life?
An innocent human life.
"You're probably wondering where I got my precious subjects huh?" Laris smirked like a devil. His right hand was holding his chin now.
Hindi ako sumagot. Matapos ang ilang segundo, gumalaw muli si Laris. He just snaped his finger and in just a second, one of his men came along and handed Laris a clipboard.
"Here." He handed me the clipboard. "Just to feed your curiosities." Puno pa niya.
Ilang segundo ko tinignan yung inaabot niyang clipboard bago ako nagkaroon ng lakas ng loob na kunin at basahin ang nakapaloob sa clipboard.
Pagkabasa, nanlaki ang mga mata ko.
Lahat ng mga pangalang nakapaloob sa inabot niya saaking clipboard ay ang mga pangalan ng mga estudyanteng naitalang nawawala sa Mafia University.
Hindi ko na napigilang magalit at naibato ko yung clipboard kay Laris.
"How unhuman you are!? Paano mo 'to nagawa sa mga inosenteng estudyante!?" Im in rage, making me want to tear him into million pieces.
Tipid siyang ngumiti saakin ng malademonyo bago yumuko para damputin yung clipboard sa sahig. "I didn't kidnapped them kung iyan ang iniisip mo. Sarili nila ang may dahilan kung bakit sila nariyan ngayon."
