15) Eavesdropping

good morning, I felt like updating so here you go.... XD

KATE; I should get going, thank you for having me, I had so much fun!

DIXIE; me too, thanks for coming, it's nice to have a true friend that doesn't want clout [rolls her eyes]

KATE; any time, see you tomorrow [leaves]

DIXIE; [goes to the twins room and sees them asleep] whispers* goodnight my loves, sleep tight [closes the door and goes to Noah's room]

NOAH; [on his bed crying]

DIXIE; [slowly opens the door and sees him crying, runs over to him on the bed] Noah?

NOAH; hey chip? [trying not to breakdown]

DIXIE; what's up scout? [sits beside him]

NOAH; n-nothing [sniffs]

DIXIE; scout? [puts her arms around him] talk to me please

NOAH; I-I h-heard y-you s-say th-that you would n-never d-date m-me and I-I just g-got u-upset b-because I r-really l-like y-you [looks down]

DIXIE; ok let me explain...

NOAH; yeah ofc [crying still]

DIXIE; wait! I need a hug first [puts out her arms]

NOAH; [hugs her tight]

DIXIE; ok, so the only reason why I said that to Kate was because she doesnt know you and she wouldnt understand...

NOAH; understand what?

DIXIE; she wouldnt understand how amazing you are scout, shes normal [laughs a bit] she isn't used to having maids and babysitters around the place.... but I am, and usually they aren't anything special but you... you're different scout, normal people would be like eww how could you like the babysitter and my simple answer to that question is.... because hes amazing... and he means the world to me...

NOAH; [wipes his tears] you mean it chip?

DIXIE; of course I do scout, I wouldnt play with your feelings like that....

NOAH; b-but you deserve way more than me, someone who has money, someone who can buy you all the things you need and want...

DIXIE; no, I dont, I need someone who will be there for me no matter what, whether they have money or not, I dont care. I want someone who likes me for me... I want someone who I can buy things for instead of them buying me things.

NOAH; I-I like you for you...

DIXIE; exactly Noah, I just described you... I want you Noah [looks at him and puts her hand on his cheek and wipes his tears] now... no more crying champ!

NOAH; thanks chip [kisses her cheek]

DIXIE hey! I think you missed [leans in]

NOAH; [smiles] you're beautiful chip

DIXIE; you too champ [gives him a peck] I should go to bed; I have school tomorrow [rolls her eyes]

NOAH; say with me? Pwease [baby voice]

DIXIE; okay [smiles] were going to have to stop when my mom and dad come home from vacation next week though

NOAH; aww [pouts] no more cuddle?

DIXIE; nope [laughs] I'll be back in a second, I just need to get changed

NOAH; okay, I'll be in bed waiting [smiles]

DIXIE; [leaves, gets dressed and comes back]

NOAH; [in bed shirtless, half asleep already]

DIXIE; [gets into bed beside him] you're cute when you're sleepy scout [kisses his cheek and rolls over]

NOAH; no sir!! [pulls her closer to him and smiles at her]

DIXIE; night scout

NOAH; night chip! [cuddles her and they fall asleep]
