"I'm dying"

"Don't be so dramatic. You're not dying Dinah"

"I am. I'm dying and you don't care. You're the worst girlfriend ever "

"I do care, but you're not fucking dying so cool it would you"

Camila closes the bedroom door before she could get yet another stupid response and jogs back downstairs. There, she was greeted with her baby sat patiently in her booster seat like the good girl she was. It was where she had left her when she'd had to abruptly take Dinah upstairs after she'd thrown up with no warning whatsoever.

Thankfully she'd made it to the bathroom but that wasn't the point. It was still disgusting to witness, especially after being traumatised by her time looking after a sick Lauren all those months ago.

But she'd had some medicine and now she was praying the taller woman would sleep it off and not spread it to them as the last thing she wanted was them sick too.

"Good girl peanut. Auntie Dinah should be asleep for a while so let's have some mama and baby time, okay?" She praises, unbuckling her and lifting her up into her arms.

Lauren smiles happily, "kay mama" she replies easily, tangling her tiny fingers through the woman's hair.

Camila sits them both down on the couch and lets out a small sigh in content, "what do you wanna watch baby?" She wonders, adjusting the girl into a position so she could see the tv but also nurse if she wanted.

And of course she wanted.

"Dora mama" Lauren happily giggles before pushing up her mother's shirt and easily latching on.

"Okay. Dora it is" Camila murmurs as she puts said show on, setting the remote down next to her before wrapping her arms securely around the now content toddler.

She was sat straddling her lap with her head to one side, the mother sideways, leaning against the arm of the couch.

It's a position they remain in for a full hour before Lauren gets bored and unlatches from her mother's breast.

"Mama?"

Camila fondly smiles at her as she pulls her shirt back down to cover herself up, "what's up baby?"

Lauren's eyes flicker to the stairs briefly before she returns her gaze to her mother , "...'inah here now?" She tries her best to ask in a way her mama would understand.

"Dinah's here now? What do you mean my love?" Camila eyebrows furrow.

"Uhhhh..." Lauren wishes she could say more words, but she knew she'd have to work with what she could say, "...'inah stay?" She hopes her mother would understand that.

Camila frowns, "Dinah stay? You mean here?"

Lauren nods.

"Dinah has been staying here yes" Camila agrees.

"Go home now" the toddler abruptly responds.

The mother frowns, "you want her to go home now?" Where had this come from?

"Yes. Now p'ease"

Camila doesn't know what to say. Sure, Dinah had been spending a lot of time here, but despite that she'd made it a priority to spend as much alone time with Lauren as she could knowing that jealousy may occur. And apparently it had because her child now wanted her girlfriend gone.

"Why'd you want her to go home?" Camila couldn't help but feel a little upset, but she tries to hide it.

The last thing she wanted was for Lauren to see her upset and immediately take back her words.

Lauren shrugs her shoulders, her little hands playing with the ring on her mother's finger.

Camila gently eases her little chin up with the tips of her fingers, "I'm sure you do. I won't be upset. I just want to know why" despite feeling like she wanted to cry, she keeps her voice light and even leans forward to press her lips again her forehead.

The toddler sighs, "miss you" was all she replies.

Nodding in understanding, Camila responds, "I miss you too baby, but mama spends lots and lots of time with you remember? We spend the mornings together whilst Dinah works, and when I get back from my work we sit together and nurse for an hour before we all sit down and have dinner. Then mama lays with you until you fall asleep. That's lots and lots of time."

She spends a total of an hour alone with Dinah a day as opposed to the five she spends with Lauren, so whilst she understands her baby, she was a little confused. Dinah was only really staying with them right now as she was the one who looks after Lauren whilst she works, otherwise, there'd just be a lot of pointless backing and forwarding between her own place and here that wasn't necessary for her.

She wasn't moving in. It was just easier that way.

Lauren nods knowing mama had a point, "...'ove her?" She looks up, tilting her head to her side.

Camila couldn't help but smile, "I do. But I understand if you're not ready to have her here permanently just yet. I'm sure Dinah would understand too"

As she said before, Lauren would always come first.

Be surprisingly, Lauren shakes her head and leans forward to settle against her mother's chest, "stay" she whispers.

"Me stay? Or Dinah?"

Lauren grins as arms wrap securely around her small frame, "both mama" she responds.

Mama loved Dinah and Dinah loved mama. She didn't want them to stop loving each other if she kicked her out. And Dinah was cool too. Only sometimes though. Not all the time.

Camila smiles, "thank you for approving angel." She presses a lingering kiss to her child's head.
