Chapter 16: Falling Like The Stars

Third Person POV

The next few days flew by and the two has become even more inseparable after they became officially girlfriends. Their friends would always tease them and pretend that they're disgusted. For instance.....

Ryujin and Yeji were sitting down together with their friends on the park as they've just finished the week, with practices and other stuffs were done here and there and this is the first time they're getting proper rest. The two were then cuddling as they all talk about different things.

Yuna sighed, "Ryujin unnie, can you please stop cuddling with Yeji unnie first? I'm sick of seeing you be so clingy to Yeji unnie. Plus, look at us three, stop making us feel so single!"

Ryujin just laughed at her sister, "So what? I can do whatever I want with my girlfriend" She then tightened her hug on Yeji and kissed her forehead which made the other blush.

"You've really changed so much old Shin but I'm happy for you" Yuna said

"Yah, I told you to stop calling me that"

"What? Don't you think this is better than me calling you Ryusungi?" Yuna laughed

"Ryusungi unnie, Ryusungi unnie" Yuna teased the other

Curious, Yeji asked why Ryujin has that kind lf nickname, "What does that mean? That's kinda a cute nickname Ryuddaeng"

Yuna laughed again before explaining, "She had this habit before to tuck her ears out whenever she wears a hoodie and when she does that, she looks like a monkey"

"C'mon show it to me Ryuddaeng" Yeji said and encouraged her girlfriend

"No!" Ryujin protested

"Eyyy don't be such a killjoy Ryujin-ah, you're actually cute when you do that" Chaeryeong said

Ryujin scoffed, "Actually cute? Actually? I feel a little offended by that because cuteness is most certainly one of my main charming points"

They all then laughed at that because Ryujin looked cute at the moment while whining and pouting as she continuously told the girls why she's cute

Yeji then cupped her girlfriend's cheeks, "Okay Ryuddaeng we get it. You're cute alright, we're just teasing you"

But Ryujin pouted even more, more because her girlfriend really teases her as much as she does when she has the chance but partly because she wanted more of her girlfriend's attention and maybe a kiss or something

Yeji just pinched the other's cheeks before kissing it then turning her attention towards the other three whose backs were what they're faced with since they knew the two would flirt again

Ryujin just rolled her eyes "You can look now, you guys are so dramatic. Just wait, I will most certainly tease the three of you so much once you all get your own partners soon too"

Lia laughed, "Okay deal but just so you know Ryujin, the two of you are sickeningly clingy and sweet to each other plus you're both so inseparable that even if we get our own partners, you shouldn't deny how flirty the two of you can get especially you"

The others then agreed with that even Yeji which made the other girl whine and sulk again but she did it silently because she knows that everything that Lia said is really true

It was finally the week before their midterms for the second semester, weeks that everyone starts dreading because it most certainly is hell with questions from the tests that are needed to be answered with utmost effort because the teachers have high expectations regardless of what subject it may be

Yeji and Ryujin were currently in the former's room as Ryujin suggested that she wants to study with Yeji even if they were on different levels but mostly because she just really wants to stay close to her girlfriend (Yeji doesn't need to know that)

It has been at least almost three hours since the room was filled with silence and just the turning of pages were heard as the two were currently studying hard since it's already Saturday, two days before the week of the tests starts

Ryujin the sighed before closing her book and rested her head on the headboard of Yeji's bed. She then closed her eyes a bit letting herself rest for she's done with studying and she doesn't want to continue anymore since she knows that she'll ace the test as much as possible. She then looked at Yeji who was on her desk still studying hard as ever for she knows that her girlfriend is a perfectionist especially since she's in the student council and wants to constantly maintain the good and high grades she had since before

Ryujin the silently walked behind Yeji before wrapping her arms around the latter's shoulders and resting her chin on it

"Hey babe, are you not tired? You can rest first you know. You've been there for a long time already. Why don't you rest first alright?"

Yeji sighed and opened her mouth but Ryujin beat her to it, "I know what you're going to say Yeddeong, stop being too hard on yourself. You'll ace the tests perfectly, I believe in you so let yourself rest at least for awhile before continuing again, you need it"

"I know that Ryujin but what I was actually going to say that you've been done studying since awhile ago huh?"

Ryujin just snuggled her face closer to Yeji's, "Yeah I'm done, I think I've studied enough. All I want now is rest and you"

"You really never let time pass without you being flirty or cheesy huh"

Ryujin just chuckled and kissed Yeji's cheek before asking her to stand up and follow her on the rooftop, one that Yeji asked her dad to build for her to go to when she wants to rest and relax, not thinking of anything and because she likes stargazing as well

When they arrived there, they immediately then went towards the railings to just look up at the stars. It was silent again as they immersed themselves in the beautiful scenery of the night sky with the moon and stars shining brighter tonight

"Ryuddaeng" Yeji called out

Ryujin just hummed in response

"I was actually supposed to write you a letter but I decided that it's perfect if I just say it and now that you brought me here, I think it's now's the perfect time to say what I've been meaning to tell you"

That caught Ryujin's attention so she faced the other who was already facing her.

Yeji took a deep breath before explaining, "Ryujin-ah. Shin Ryujin. Ryuddaeng. I know that I'm not much quite of a person who expresses their feelings well but today I want to pour this all out because you have to hear it. It's been months since we started to get to know each other, since you courted and since we became girlfriends. Time flew fast and changes appeared here and there. I started liking you more even when I continuously denied the feelings I had. You were always there for me and I'm always grateful for that. I had a rough patch in life before and since then you were there not only as a friend but you became my light, my guide, my star. There's this bright star called 'Sirius', the brightest one among all the stars and you were just like that. You didn't have to say anything because I know that your presence is enough to pull me back up from those hole of darkness that was hard to get out of. So my Ryujin, my Ryuddaeng, my Sirius, I love you. I love you and I'm so grateful and happy that I met you. I've never been more happy because tonight, I'm also falling like the stars"

Here's the update, I'm sorry if it took me two weeks to update. It's not that I have been busy but well maybe I was, busy with myself. I just really rested and did everything I wanted but here you all go, hope you like it
