Unlucky

Part 4

After the officers left the room I felt an immense pressure on my back, as if someone put a bolder on it, I turn my head to see none other than sam staring daggers into my back, "What the fuck do you mean you don't have a home anymore" sam ordered "well the day I got robed was the night I was supposed to have the money in by with no excuses, and since I'm already 2 months behind I couldn't ask them to extend it," Alex said, "did you know you almost died because not only were you stabbed but you were also anemic and malnourished?" she questioned, "I needed a place to stay first food comes latter. I meant to ask, was it you who saved me?" Alex sheepishly asked, "yeah, I saw you get pulled into an ally and by the time I made it there I was the guy had stabbed you, so I ran in punched him in the face, and called 911" she stated nonchalantly "wait, so you ran at a guy with a knife barehanded and punched him in the face? and what even happened to him?" "he was also taken to the hospital with a concussion and half his teeth missing" she said, Alex just sat there with his jaw wide open, "how long was I asleep?" Alex asked, "3 days" "how did you know to come today to see me wake up?" he asked "I didn't, I have been here for 3 days," she said " why would you do all of this for someone you barely knew?, I'm not trying to say I'm not great full, I just want to know," he said "well I wanted to make sure you woke up ok, and I just felt the need to," she said "thank you for everything you have done for me, I owe you my life," he said

"I have an offer to make you since you need a place to stay, and you need a job, why don't you stay with me, you can do the cooking, cleaning, and be my cameraman, you did mention you like to cook whenever you could and were good with a camera, didn't you?" Sam said                        Alex just stood there thinking to himself. "why would you do this for someone you barely know? I mean I'm nothing special and hell I'm an Unlucky" Alex said with confusion, "the reason I trust you is that I can tell by the look on your face that you have been wronged in the past by trusting the wrong people, people who get hurt that way are the most trustworthy people" she said with genuine feeling behind her words, "ok, but I still need to work at other places to pay for my trip in the 'wewo wagon'" Alex stated, "its already paid off, I took care of it yesterday", she said it with that same face, the same face she makes when paying for pizza, like its nothing, "how much money does she have" Alex thought "A lot" she says unprompted, "I saw the look on your face, the 'how much money does she even have?' face" she said, "she's good" he thought

after 4 more days at the hospital, sam only ever left to either go running or to get food, the rest of the time was spent in the chair next to the bed, Alex was beginning to suspect that she liked him, but that was impossible for someone like her to like an average looking guy who is also an Unlucky, so he pushed that thought deep into he mind.                                                                                      today was the day that Alex was to be discharged from the hospital, after signing the paperwork he and sam begun to walk towards the elevator, then a man came up from behind Alex, grabbed his shirt, and hoisted him up to face level, sam only just realizing what was happening turned around and saw Alex being held up and was pissed, she gave the man one glare and he let go of Alex immediately, sam pulled Alex back and stepped in front of his face to face with the angered man, "WHAT the FUCK is your problem!" Sam snapped, "ITS ALL THAT LITTLE SHITS FALT MY DAUGHTER IS DEAD, IF IT WASNT FOR HIM BEING HERE SHE WOULD STILL BE ALIVE RIGHT NOW" the man screamed as his eyes filled with tears, as security came to take the man away, "He had nothing to with it" sam snarled. 

After that order was over Alex and Samantha got onto the elevator and started to go down to the first floor, "thank you, you keep having to bail me out of trouble" Alex said with a voice filled with nothing but pure terror, sam just nodded and put her hand on Alex's now shaking body, soon after Alex stopped seeking and looked up to Samantha and smiled while wiping the tears from his eyes.                                                                                                                                                                           when they get out to the parking lot they walked out towards the parking spaces, then she pulled a pair of keys out of her pocket and pressed the unlock button, a car went off, but I thought it was a mistake like someone else pressed the unlock button at the same time, there's no way, then she walked over to the driver side door and opened it, yup it's her car, a red '2020 Ferrari F8 Tributo' Alex is couldn't believe his eyes, he didn't even move from the back of the car from shock, "Alex is everything ok?" she asked shaping him out of his trance-like state, Alex opened the door got in and buckled, it was slightly uncomfortable due to the seat belt strap, but everything else was amazing, "so is there anything you need to grab from your place?" she asked, "no everything gets thrown out if you don't pay, so it's probably already gone" Alex said

Sam started the car up and drove straight to a clothing store, "what are we doing here?" he asked "getting you some clothes obviously, you can't keep wearing a shirt with knife holes in it now can you" "she did make a good point" Alex thought, Alex simply agreed and they both got out of the car to go into the store, "I hope she goes and does her own thing, I hate shopping in the kid's department, but it was the only place I could get clothes my size.
