Nick Burkhardt is a detective for the Portland PD. Nick is not a normal detective. Why not?

He's a Grimm.

His partner Hank, his friend Monroe, his other friend Rosalee and his boss Captain Sean Renard are the only people who know his secret.

Some off you might wonder what a Grimm is. You see, Grimm's can see things we can't see. Like supernatural creatures called Wesen. Here is are a few examples:

Monroe is a Wieder Blutbad, it kinda looks like a dog, wolf-ish

Rosalee is a Fuchsbau, it kinda looks like a fury, fox-ish

and Captain Sean Renard is part of the Royal family, which you will hear more about.

When did he whole Grimm thing start?

After his sick aunt, who had raised Nick, died.

For years Nick had thought both off his parents died in a car crash. But only his dad died that night. His mother is still alive. He found out 2 months ago. She promised him that she would come and pay him a visit sometime.

Nick's life hasn't been easy since he is a Grimm. Cases are getting harder once the Wesen notice he's a Grimm. It is also hard to keep this secret from other people, like Wu who also works at the PPD.

But his life gets harder, when 25 year old Detective Gibbs starts working for the PPD. Can Nick keep his secret from her?
