Exploring, Demons, and Shadows?

The rays of sunlight pierced through the curtains and onto my face. I woke up and rolled over, right onto the floor. I was wide awake (Yeah I was in the dark, I was falling hard, with an open heart) now, and I looked around. Nata was gone with the door wide open and there was a note on my dresser.

"Things not to do today," I read out loud, "Your parents will ask you where you want to eat. Don't say McDonalds. You will die. When asked what you want to do, don't go to the park. You will get kidnapped. A stray dog will walk up to you today. Don't ignore it. Follow it. She is important. And finally, try to make sure no one sees your eye. Sighed, Natasha. P.S, Thanks for saving us yesterday!"

I put the note down and walked down the stairs. Natasha was in the kitchen preparing our breakfast. Both bowls had Cocoa Puffs(©) in them, but one had milk and one didn't. I sat down at the table, where I picked up the plastic spoon that layed in front of me. Nata walked over and placed the one without milk in front of me.

"How did you know I hated milk in my cereal!?" I asked, devouring the cereal hungrily. She gave me the 'really?' look. I laughed, scratched my neck, and went beck to eating.

Once we were done, I put my bowl in the dishwasher and sat on the couch, browsing IFunny. Soon, Nata was done too and she sat on the couch as well. "What cha doin?" Nata asked me in a sing-song voice.

"Browsing IFunny." I said back, snickering at a picture of something funny.

"Did you hear?"

"What?"

"There's a new episode of The Haunted out."

"WAIT REALLY?!"

"Yes."

"Well then, let's watch it!" I said, using the TV remote to change the screen to YouTube. I quickly searched up RejectedShotgun and watched the new episode (Episode 9, The Hunt(1)).

After that amazing feat of amazingness, we had lunch, because we were hungry. Or, I was at least. You can probably guess what we had (PUT YOUR GUESSES IN THE COMMENTS!).

After our lunch, I was getting restless. I really wanted to walk around town and explore. You can't blame me eather, I hadn't been out in, what, 2 weeks? I NEED MEH VITAMIN D PEOPLE! MKAY?!

"Hay, Nata?"

"Hm?" Natasha looked at me, slightly worried.

"May I go walk around the town?" Now before you ask why I was asking Natasha, the reason is simple. SHE WROTE A GOD DANG BOOK ABOUT ME. If anything, she would know what would happen, and she would tell me.

"Sure. Just remember, if you see a dog, follow it."

"Mkay." I said, walking towards the door.

"DON'T FORGET YOUR CONTACTS!" Oh sh--, I realized I didn't have my contacts on.

I walked down the street, several shops to my left, and a jammed road to my right. I smiled and breathed in a breath of air happily, looking around at the beauty of the town. Scratch that, most of what I saw was girls getting excited for some beauty thing and guys doing something to make them seem cool. I sighed at the display of stupidity around me.

As I walked, I got to the center of my town, which has a large fountain and a park to eather side of it. Remembering Natasha's warning, I didn't dare venture into the parks, so I calmly went to the left side of the street and began to walk home.

On my way back home, I heard a bark and felt two paws on my legs. I looked down to see a black dog (like, pure black) with bright red eyes that faded into a darker red near the middle. She had a large scar over her right eye and a cast wrapped around her back left leg. She had several other cuts on different parts of her body. I petted her head and she leaped of my legs and barked, running off. I followed her.

She lead me into a dark alleyway and barked twice. A groan was heard and a door opening, something walking out, followed by a light switch switching on. Light illuminated the alley from a lightbulb near a rusty door. The light illuminated the person who turned on the light and the dog walked to the door and went inside.

The girl looked like she was 7 or 8 by her height. She had spiked, silver hair, purple eyes, black hoodie, blue jeans, black combat boots, and a long, black, double edged sword on her back. She grunted, "Who are you?"

"I'm Claire, and who are you?"

"I'm Sha-Karen. My name is Karen."

"It's okay Shadow, she was in the Dream Prison. I've already meet her." A girl with long, black hair (like the dog's fur) and red eyes (also like the dog's) stepped out of the door. I immediately recognised her as Kokoro, but she looked and sounded different. Her voice was softer and a bit harsher, but still light and childish. She had a long black trench coat, a grey shirt, and blue jeans. Shadow slightly pouted.

"But Koko-!"

"No buts! Any who, it's nice to meet you Claire, but I think you should be going now. Somebody is looking for you." Kokoro said, "If you want to come back at anytime, you know where the alley is. Stomp three times. Shadow should walk out if we are here. If not, turn around and leave ASAP." She warned and mouthed 'Go.' I turned around and ran, just as somebody entered, not even seeing me.

When I got home, the door was locked. Luckily, I had my key. I unlocked the door to see Natasha crashed out on the couch, with the TV turned off. I smiled and sat next to her, but I locked the door first. With that, I waited for my parents to come home so we could eat.

Date: ??? Time: ??? PoV: ???

No. No. No. No. NO! I screamed slightly and looked angrily at the screen for the umpteenth time. Though there were slight differences, there wasn't enough. Natasha would need to try harder to get it to work out. There was a soft knock on my door.

"Who is it?" I asked, my hair black pigtail whipping around with my head and my grey goggles (2) nearly falling of my face.

"It's Spirit, Kumori(3)!" I would never get used to the new name I gave myself. I grumbled slightly but got up from the messy desk, papers almost falling off. My white and gray rhombus (Think of a Flygon's wings) shaped wings nearly knocked things off of various shelves, my grey tail with similar tiny rhombuses not fairing any better.

"What is it Spirt?" I asked my green haired little sister. She had shorter pigtails than mine, red eyes, a short green dress, pink and light green rhombus wings, and pink tennis shoes.

"It's a letter from antie Natasha!" She said, handing me a letter from Natasha. It had her signature seal on it, an ender pearl from Minecraft. I grabbed the letter and thanked my little sister, closing the door quickly. I tore open the letter and grimaced at the sloppy handwriting. I would never get used to that. I read it aloud to myself.

"Dear Kumori,

Everything is going good so far, but it's not even close to being a quarter of a way done. At best, it's eighth of a way done. Currently, Claire is out on a walk and I'm only hopping she will not go into the parks and follow Kokoro into the alley to meet Shadow. Though there was a few... problems... here and there, there's nothing to be worried about, not yet at least.

Natasha."

I sighed a sigh of relief. Hopefully Natasha could keep this up. But I could only hope.

Hay guys! Kokoro here with a new chapter! Did I mention I put myself in in the story? Cause I did! Any who, your probably wondering what the numbers were all about. Well, What happens is that while I'm writing, I leave out a few things to make it more enjoyable for you guys. But sometimes I think people will have questions about certain things, so from now on, I'll put a number in brackets and an explanation will be at the end. So here we go:

(1): I started writing this when that was a new episode. It took me that long to write this chapter. Curse school, not me.

(2): Although those goggles sound like they would be like sunglasses, she can see clearly through them and nothing is darker.

(3): Kumori is Japanese for Shadow, and that was her original name, but we already have a character named Shadow, so it would get confusing. So I translated it.

Any who... Bai!~
