Lexa POV

Lexa woke up a few mornings later. Lexa went to stretch when she realized that she had an arm over Clarke's stomach. Lexa quickly removed it and moved away. Lexa walked out of the shelter.

"Lexa you are twenty four, you don't need to panic every time you touch a girl." Lexa mumbled to herself.

Lexa started a fire and went to the lake to see if she could catch anything. Lexa washed off quickly and dried off. Lexa picked up the spear and started to walk around.

After a lot of failure Lexa saw something move and took a shot. Lexa speared it and quickly got it out of the water. Lexa saw that it wasn't a fish. It was an eel.

Lexa bent down and the eel tried to bite her. Lexa moved back. "Calm yourself." Lexa said, walking back over. Lexa tried to kill the eel but missed and the eel attacked her. "Asshole." Lexa said, moving back, dodging the eel. The eel started to go back to the water. "No no no." Lexa said, using her spear to stop it.

Lexa put the spear down and grabbed the tail of the eel, dragging it back to the land. Lexa grabbed the eel with the other hand near it's hand. Lexa picked it up and made the eel look at her. "Lose the attitude. Your fish friends aren't as moody as you." Lexa told the eel.

Lexa put the eel down and killed it. Lexa got her stuff and walked back to the shelter. Clarke was leaning on a tree smiling. "Talking to animals again?" Clarke asked.

"He was being an asshole, trying to bite me." Lexa said. "Also I don't know how to cook this so we'll figure it out."

Lexa put the eel down and started by cutting its head off, then gutting it, and then cut meat off. "I think that is how you do it." Lexa said, finishing up.

"I'll go wash them while you start the fire." Clarke said, picking up the meat. Lexa got the glass bottle they had been using to start the fire and got it started.

Clarke walked back and the fire was almost going. Lexa picked up the head to the eel as Clarke sat down. "Lexa if you make that thing talk, I'm gonna gut anything ever again." Clarke said.

"Party pooper." Lexa said, but made the eel say it, moving its mouth.

"You are a child." Clarke laughed.

They cooked the eel and ate it, talking about family. "I don't really have any family." Lexa said. "My dad's in the Army, he's somewhere in Asia I think. My mom left us when I was ten and I don't know about others. Anya and Lincoln are the closest thing I have. Lincoln also was in the military with me." Lexa said. "What about you?"

"My dad passed away when I was eight. My mom was an only child so I don't have cousins and stuff." Clarke said. "Raven basically is my sister, has her own room at my mom's house."

They finished eating and as they made sure the fire was complete out there heard a loud roar. They both looked at each other with wide eyes. "What the fuck was that?" Lexa asked looking into the woods.

"If you are gonna say let's go look, you can have fun, I am not getting eaten." Clarke said. Lexa looked at her. "Don't pretend like you didn't think about it."

Lexa was about to say something when another roar came. "I'm not that dumb." Lexa told her.

"You had a live eel about two inches from your face." Clarke pointed out.

"I wanna know what it is." Lexa said. "Let's just not go over there for a long time." They sat back down.

"I fully support that." Clarke said.
