It’s not secret how much I love laughing and how easily someone can make me laugh. But, when it comes to controlling my laughter, let me tell you, I suck at it.

This was one of those moments when my stomach was hurting so bad from controlling my laughter for so long.

Why?

Well, my dad was on a mission to interview Cameron which let me tell you wasn’t going very well. Cameron was sitting next to me, Dad and Mom opposite us. The room was silent except for the deep breaths that Mom and I were taking, every now and then, to keep ourselves from laughing out.

Dad cleared his throat for the third time. “So, Um.. What do you think about your school’s football team?” he asked Cameron. Dad was being awfully random. I always knew dad wouldn’t be too great when it came to interviewing my boyfriend but this, this is friggin’ hilarious.

I closed my eyes and placed my hand over my mouth.

It’s okay, Grace.

Control. Control. Control. Control.

Don’t laugh. Don’t laugh. Don’t laugh.

I avoided looking at Mom because I knew the moment I did I wouldn’t be able to stop myself from laughing.

I glanced at Cameron. I had never seen him like this so uncomfortable and awkward; he was always confident and cocky.

Cameron fidgeted with his fingers a little. “Uh, I-It’s great.”

Dad nodded and laughed a little uncomfortably. “Yeah, the cheerleaders must be hot.” As soon as he realized what he said, he face palmed.

And that did it.

Mom and I burst out laughing. My sides were hurting so bad because of laughing so hard.

“Oh my god! That was epic.” I said laughing.

Mom nodded, laughing. “Tell me about it.”

We glanced at Dad who looked embarrassed. “I think I should go, you guys enjoy.” He said and quickly got up. He stopped mid way and looked at Cameron.
