A friend of soloist Miya posted photos of her smoking

On december 28, 2020 rumours of Miya smoking caused by photos taking by a friend of her, started going around.

The photos were shared on Instagram and Twitter with the caption "Now you get what you deserve, this will make people hate you."

As of now, it's still unclear who posted this pictures. BigHit has still not taking any actions or have not made a statement yet.

Update:

On january 02, 2021 BigHit released a statement, saying following:

" Hello, this is BigHit Music.
After talking to Miya, we've now decided to not make public if Miya is smoking or not. As of now, we will just try to find out who spread those rumours about Miya.
Thank you. "

Update:

On january 06, 2021, Miya released following statement on both her Instagram and Twitter:

" Hello, this is Miya.
After hearing the rumours about the situation I'm in, I wanted to speak up about it.

Before I clarify anything, I want to ask you guys to always stay by my side and I always want to thank you for continuing giving me support and giving me all the love you can.

The rumours an old friend of mine spread are true. I never considered smoking as an option to cope with the stress I had when I was still young. It felt like everything was sucking me up in this hole and smoking and partying with my friends was the only way out.

But, after finally understanding that I was with wrong friends who used me, I tried my best to stop smoking and seeing these "friends".

As for now, I've not been smoking for about 2 years and I want to continue doing it like I did these past years.
But even if I did smoke, it shouldn't be your business at all because I'm a grown up person who can decide what's good and bad for me.
