Began a new novel this morning.

No it's not Sleepers Volume III, sorry.

Knocked out 11 pages on the typewriter (yes I use a typewriter) in a couple of hours, and am excited to get back to it tomorrow morning. Bodes well.

It's going to be a big gritty/brutal epic fantasy for adults, with multiple MCs/storylines, and a foundation of Australian Aboriginal myth and religion, with lots of creative licence. Beyond that I'm not sure, but I sense it's going to be a wild journey.

If I ever get it done it may show up here, pending the continued existence of this site, and/or nuclear armageddon. Or it may manifest itself as a string of individual novellas, as each of the MCs' tales is intended to function as a standalone story.

Only time and coffee will tell.

I absolutely loved Hotel Ambrose. Is that how it ends? I feel you had more to the plot planned but decided against it. Also was Sofie the other border?

fajarachaudhry558

That's so cool of you.

@fajarachaudhry558 Hi Fajar, thanks for reading it! Always a thrill to hear someone got something out of my little story.

In answer to your questions, yes, that's how it ends. This book has been through the mill over the years; earlier drafts were longer and had different endings, none of which I was ever satisfied with.

I left the identity of the other boarder up to the reader to decide. I trust they will choose wisely.

Just published a new Tale in Tales. It's a horror story called The Ice Cream Man, and it's about... you guessed it... an ice cream man. Don't consume it too fast or you'll get brain-freeze. Oh and watch for the sting in the tale.

Very good story. The real horror of the story is that which the reader supplies. Only a masterful storyteller can achieve that kind of horror. Well done

Shout out to all the new readers of Hotel Ambrose, which is suddenly being featured on various Wattpad reading lists. Kind of cool and inexplicable at the same time. Anyway, allow me to thank you from the bottom of my tiny, shrivelled heart.

By the way, if Ambrose isn't working for you (it's an acquired taste I know), do try one of my other stories: they're all wildly different in tone, audience, genre, subject matter, and degree of offensiveness.

@Shipenmemyselfla I hadn't planned one. Besides, I feel like they've been through enough.

@mchawkinsauthor Is Hotel Ambrose getting a sequel or does it end there?
