it's been a while since it was unpublished but i seriously loved rude awakening so much and it was so important to me and i miss it so hard. i get so many random urges every week to just try to open it again to read it and study and wonder at the amazing writing but i can't anymore and that's sad as hell but i'm assuming it was for the best and what u wanted to do. i just loved it so much and i miss it this was so sappy ok bye
@ annalisecuban it was about this girl named blaire who grew up in a (mostly) cool family but she ended up with violent tendencies and a fear/hate of some kind for men and is a little haunted by something terrible she did when she was eighteen. she's 23 i think in the story and she lives in an apartment far from her home and is just trying to live a normal life but meets this artsy asian girl (love interest), this drug addict who she slowly gets to know better, and this woman who suffered from domestic abuse and (i'm assuming this from the story summary) she starts paying blaire to beat up abusers and the like, but we didn't get to that part of the story by the time it was unpublished. it was an interesting plot & great storytelling but just the way the author wrote the prose, it was like honey no joke. so smooth & beautiful. also idk why i still remember that much of the plot like a year later but ok
what happened to rude awakening? that book was my lifeline :((
