For those of you interested in my original stories: I’m so happy to release my new fantasy romance Wind Weaver.

For this novel I combined my interest in Ancient Greece with my love for the sea and sailing. The protagonist, Xanthe, is a wind mage, able to weave the air into what shape she desires, a useful gift in a world of islands and sailing ships. However, to reach her full potential she needs to find her Shadow, the one person who holds the power to compliment her gift.

But of course it’s not so simple. Ashkar, a noble from a desert kingdom, has ideas of his own. Not exactly delighted with having such an inconvenient passenger aboard his ship, he nevertheless offers her a bargain in exchange for her services as a wind weaver, for he has a secret mission to fulfil.

And so their journey begins. But unless they manage to reach a true understanding, they might well run aground on the dangerous shoals ahead.

If you’re interested in their adventures, you can find the story on Amazon, iBooks, Kobo etc. (just search for ‘Lia Patterson’) or read an excerpt on my website www.liapatterson.com.

Myriara

Hi Lia, I am Miry from Brasil and I've just found Like a Blade forged in Fire. Please update, there are so many unfinished stories on the internet.

LiaPatterson

@Myriara Hi Miry, the story is finished in rough draft, but still needs some revision, so I'm publishing a chapter a week (usually on the weekend). So I promise to do my best, I've never yet abandoned a story. Thanks for reading!

For the Eomer & Lothiriel fans amongst you: I've just started publishing a new scenario, called 'Like a Blade Forged in Fire'. I hope you'll enjoy it!

Okay, I really want to read your books but I'm confused is there a specific order for reading them?

LiaPatterson

@Milimadness Thanks for asking. They're all standalone, though set in the same world, so you don't have to read them in any particular order. Chronologically speaking 'Elephant Thief' is first, 'Bride to the Sun' about three hundred years later and 'Daughter of Wolves' a couple of years after that (but with completely different protagonists).

You might have seen already, but 'Daughter of Wolves' is also published on Wattpad.

I hope you'll enjoy the books!

Where/how did you come up with a name for Lothíriel's mother? I haven't been able to find anything about her online.

LiaPatterson

@rocks4brains Yes, we don't really know much about Imrahil's family, just a few dates of birth for his children. On the other hand, that means you can give free rein to your imagination ;-)

@rocks4brains Oh okay, that makes sense (as I said, I hadn't found out much about her).

@rocks4brains Lothiriel's mother is one of the many female characters in LotR that have not been named and we know nothing about, not even a date of birth or death. so I've used a number of different names for her, which I've made up myself (using one or another of the Sindarin name generators on the internet).

I was searching for a story about Rohan, but I didn’t found much. I’m from Switzerland too and that’s why I always search the books in German but once I thought I will search in English and then I saw one of your stories there and I began to read. I didn’t read much but I will keep going on.
I don’t know much about English but I think you write beautiful. Also I was just noisy who is writing such good stories and I visit your profile here. I read that your from Switzerland and I think that is really funny, because I started to read English on Wattpad but found an author that comes from the same country as I.
In wich canton do you live?

@LiaPatterson Gut zu wissen. Ich schaue mir den Wandbehang mit Eorl und Felaróf immer gerne an XD und einem Gespräch mit der Haushälterin wär ich nicht abgeneigt ; )

@_tardaelja_ So witzig!

@user97134355 Ciao Federica, pleased to meet you too! I'm really happy to hear that you enjoyed my stories. In my opinion it's a great compliment for any author if readers think their stories worth rereading.
As for more Eomer/Lothiriel scenarios, I haven't got anything in the works at the moment, but you never know. As you can probably guess, I like them a lot, so I might well write more about them at some stage.

Thanks for your kind words and greetings to Italy!
            Lia
