Hi, I'm Evelyn and I like to experiment in different genres.
I'm a twice-Featured, 2016 Watty winner with works going top 20 so far in 3 genres. None of these should be taken as a seal of quality.
I try not to take myself too seriously and my writing is usually littered with smart-arse jokes, but I'd wager I'm neither as clever or as funny as I think I am.
WHO PUT BELLA IN THE WYCH ELM? - Watty winning paranormal mystery about a young witch during WW2.
The WIDER SEAS series - zombie-pirate historical adventure comedy mash-up with Pratchett-inflected humour. This is my biggest project. Give it a bash. Don't take it seriously!
KING OF MIST - The slightly more challenging, hugely trippy literary mystery quiz.
DOWN 918 RABBIT HOLES - Non-fiction, short chapters covering the Jonestown Massacre and my attempts to write a story for all 918 people who died.
ELEOS HARRUMPHED - I suppose you could call fanfiction. A tongue in cheek sequel to Atlas Shrugged, set 30 years later and stretching those gapping plot holes to their logical conclusion.
918 - Some of my Jonestown short stories.
BURNT - My brief foray into the dread-genre of romance. A tale of music and enigmatic disappearances.
SHORTS AND ALL - Ephemera, short stories, contest entries. Including ESCAPE FROM THE LABYRINTH, a sequel to the 80's film, TIBBLES, a story written from the perspective of the Stephen's Island Wren (yes, really), and BLOOP, a story for the #bodyonthebeach contest, among others.
All my work is Ad Free. Enjoy. Don't enjoy. Whatever.
Don't ask me to read and comment on your story. You don't want that. Trust me.
I'm an Ecologist by trade and manage a few nature reserves on the edge of London. I write stuff. I read stuff. My blog about all things Green is linked below.
