BOOK THREE OF THE GOLDSTREAK TRILOGY

I knew more of our teammates would be there. I wasn't sure if I was ready to face them. Of course they knew what happened, it would be hard not to; neither Bruce nor Tony would keep that kind of thing from the team, especially not if they were worried about me. But I couldn't help but feel sort of ashamed. Fear was gnawing at me. I mean, what if this was just a sign that I would lose the rest of my powers? I could go from a hero to a normal person in a matter of an instant.

In a strange twist of events, Megan has just lost half of her powers. It's a struggle for her to come to grips with, and though she's terrified of becoming completely powerless, Pietro is determined to be there for her and help her every step of the way. Meanwhile, Thor has returned with news of an incoming battle . . . Heimdall has seen a tear in the realms, and it does not bode well for Midgard.

The Avengers can see how bad the nightmares are affecting Bucky and are really worried about him. Tony has since forgiven Bucky for what happened to his parents all those years ago but can see that he has not forgiven himself. He decides to bring in some outside help though is unsure how the team will react to the secret that he has hidden for 21 years, he knows that she is Bucky's best chance to forgive and heal himself. Her life has never been simple, especially when being the daughter of Tony Stark, but she has dedicated her life to helping horses and people alike heal from past trauma. And now her dad has asked her to help Bucky with his inner demons. But can she help Bucky while still battling her inner demons or perhaps heal each other bringing hope back into their lives? (Author's Note: This story takes place two years after Civil War but with my twist, I debated about adding the Infinity/Endgame storyline but decided not to because I'm still not over all that emotional trauma that the Russo brothers and Marvel put me through. So I decided to bring the concept of one of my favorite Canadian shows Heartland based on my favorite book series growing up. The rescues in my story are either some from the show/books but with my spin as well as some real-life horse rescue cases that I have seen online. Hope you all enjoy it, no pun intended.)

After their third, and hopefully final encounter with Thanos, the reunited Avengers are left to pick up the pieces of the last five years and attempt to move on with their lives. Even with the giant hole left behind by the loss of Tony and Vision, they're still met with the joy that Natasha's return brings. With Sam and Bucky temporarily living with Freya and Steve, who are excitedly expecting twins, things seem like they're slowly returning to a new normal. But Freya can't seem to shake an uneasy feeling after her brief, but nearly violent confrontation with Wanda. The feeling isn't only putting her on edge, but it carries a darkness with it as well. Not long after Wanda leaves, something causes Freya to have an episode with her powers. But instead of her powers lashing out, they're forced to contain an out of control Freya in order to protect the others. Once it passes, new revelations begin to tie everything back to Wanda and her unknown activities. Freya worries for the younger woman and hopes she didn't make a mistake by encouraging her to take time for herself. However, that worry and hope quickly dissolves into fear and guilt when an old friend reaches out for help with a situation only Freya might understand. Without hesitation, Freya, Steve, Sam and Bucky rush to aid the contact. Only to come face to face with something so bizarre and terrifying, even Freya has the urge to stay away. Though, when she discovers Wanda, and perplexingly enough, Vision, at the center of it, she knows they have to do whatever it takes to bring their family home. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Steve Rogers x OC (Stark) [WandaVision] **Book six in the Mercury Series** ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I DO NOT OWN ANYTHING MARVEL OR DISNEY RELATED!! I only own my original character, Freya Stark/Mercury and her story arc. Some bits of the story will be changed, but I will stay as true to the show as I possible. Rated mature for language and violence. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
