After graduating from his pre-law, Eduardo "Luis" Javier went back to the small town of Remedios for a summer vacation that he has long anticipated. He was to spend his entire summer there before going to Law School -the wish of his grandparents from his father's side who has just been going to and fro the big city to visit their family. Luis did not protest because he was to meet his future wife, Isabella Alegre -the most beautiful in his eyes. She was that Filipina who had the kutis morena but she had copper brown hair curled like the waves of the seas, hazel eyes that sparkled each time the sun hits her lovely face and long lashes that curved perfectly. They were childhood friends, bound for marriage by Don Adolfo Javier and Don Carlos Alegre -their grandparents. They knew this at an early age but did not complain rather fell in love at the peak of their youth in high school in the small town of Remedios. Luis and Isabella swore to meet each other again after college when Isabella went to study abroad where her mother practices medicine while Luis studied in one of the most prestigious schools in the big city of the country. Luis went to Remedios ahead of Isabella and was going to wait until she arrives until one day he stumbled upon Dolores Garcia. Someone unfamiliar, her name does not ring a bell for Luis -not even from a memory in high school. Was she from Remedios? Is she new in this little town? She caught the attention of the man who only laid eyes on only one woman in the entirety of his life. Dolores had porcelain skin, iris as dark as the night like her long jet black hair, and how she had those pinkish lips that curved the prettiest smile -and Dolores...changed his life forever.
