Úgy mondják a falu öregjei, hogy igen bent, a fák sűrűjében növekszik egy fa, melynek gyökerei egészen a múltig nyúlnak. Törzse színezüst, levelei pedig csillogó kristályok, oly fényesek. Sokat ér, ám az emlék, melyet magába zárt, még annál is többet.

Sa fie momeala, sau sa fie o parte din acel loc. Si daca se va infiltra, ce s-ar intampla daca si-ar gasi acolo locul? Un loc caruia sa-i apartina, desi unii oameni nu sunt chiar persoanele pe care vrei sa le ai in jurul tau? Si daca amandoi si-ar gasi cate o persoana care i-ar face sa uite de celalalt? Ce sens ar avea sa mai suporte chinuri pentru a-l salva pe celalalt cand, pe zi ce trece, il uita? Si, in acelasi timp, chiar daca ar vrea sa renunte unul de celalalt, ce s-ar intampla daca cineva anume, nu si-ar dori asta? ... Unde sunt raspunsurile? Ei bine, le veti afla daca o sa citit. Si daca o sa reusesc sa postez. :)

The death of President Ebrahim Raisi in a helicopter crash this week occurred during one of the Islamic Republic of Iran's most challenging periods. Raisi, a prominent figure in the political elite, held substantial sway over Iran's domestic policies. He was also central to Iran's recent moves to improve relations with its rivals in the region. Given his sizeable influence, what will Raisi's absence mean for the country's domestic affairs? And how will it impact the country's relations in the region? Maintaining Stability at a Perilous Time Raisi's government was very conservative and had a close relationship to the Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. There were almost no conflicts or disagreements between the two sides, which contrasts with previous governments, most of which had some distance or tension with the leader. Raisi was also considered one of the leading candidates to succeed the 85-year-old Khamenei, who has held the office of Supreme Leader for 35 years. His broad influence within the country's conservative circles made him a significant figure in shaping the future of Iran's leadership.

In September 2000 events in Israel had a big effect on my life. For the next few years Israel was targeted by scores of Palestinian suicide bombers who detonated deadly suicide belts packed with not only explosives but also schrapnel. There was no way of knowing when the next one would strike, be it on buses, cafes, restaurants or wherever crowds of people congretated. On June 1st a bomb struck a crowd of youngsters outside a disco in Tel Aviv. One young girl who lay injured told the paramedic "we shall not stop dancing". For some reason I still remembered those brave words years later. It was then that I decided to write a book about a fictional bombing in Tel Aviv. One of the biggest reasons for this was not generated by any political belief but to specifically show that despite everything that was thrown at them Israelis simply carried on living their lives. The book title comes from the brave words of the injured young girl. It will take you through just another regular day of 12 very different people, most of them unaware that it will be their last day.
