Thunderbirds 2086 was originally a Japanese anime series entitled Science Rescue Team Techno Voyager created by Banjiro Uemura. Through his fascination and love for the original Gerry Anderson productions for ITC that he created his own Thunderbirds style series of a rescue organisation. Thanks to Uemura's connections to ITC, the series was redubbed and distributed in western countries as Thunderbirds 2086. While bearing no resemblance or any continuity link with the classic SUPERMARIONATION series, Thunderbirds 2086 has been lost in the mists of time as an overlooked gem.
